Now since its fall, we will be hearing a lot more warnings and watches for tornadoes. Since I have had a a couple of people actually tell me they have no clue what to do. I decided to post a checklist that might help.  

First make sure you know how to either get to the basement, bathroom or some room with no windows.

Second, make sure to warn anyone in the house who hasn't heard.

Third, make sure to keep your phone with you. The GPS can be used to find you and you can call for help if needed.

Fourth, don't go outside if you don't have to.

And last, just take a moment to calm yourself. Panicking will never help a situation.

❛ Outside. ❜    Not a lie, but not the full truth, either. Maybe he had met a girl at school, and maybe he was sneaking out past curfew to go on a date with her. Their parents were asleep, so Peter thought it’d be the perfect time to slip out. What he didn’t expect was for Juno to be awake, and standing right by the back door with her arms crossed.    ❛ I... want to stargaze. ❜    ( At least come up with a good lie. )    As soon as the words leave his mouth, Peter knows the excuse is going to fall flat. He quickly drops the act, crossing his arms to mirror her. A few beats of silence pass, until he finally speaks up. 

❛ What, are you gonna rat on me? ❜

❝ can you tell kal to shut up? i’m trying to sleep! ❞ / to peter

❛ He's not gonna listen to me. You just tell him. ❜    He groans, taking his pillow from under his head and holding it over his ears.    ( Why the hell did she have to wake him up for that? Wasn’t that counterproductive? )    Peter now can’t fall back asleep, due to the music coming from Kal’s room down the hall. He takes the pillow off his head, sits up in bed, and chucks the pillow directly at Juno.    ❛ Now I’m awake too. The hell, Juno? ❜

              ‘ yeah,  that’s . . .  sort’ve  how  weather  works, ’   such  a  dry  remark  isn’t  needed,  though  ryan  finds  he  can’t  really  control  it,  sometimes.  they  don’t  mean  anything  by  it.  hand  holds  one  bud,  previously  in  his  ear,  so  that  he  could  hear  what  she  was  saying.   ‘ the  cabin’s  open  over  there  if  you’d  rather  be  inside, ’   pinky  is  extended  towards  the  log  structure  to  his  left.   ‘ there’s  no  wind  in  there, ’     @tornadeos​.

      steve’s heart hammers in his chest as his back collides with the wall behind him.  her arm presses against his throat and he feels sweat begin to collect at the back of his neck.  he knows she’s saying something  --  probably threatening him, but the ringing in his ears block out whatever words she says.  wide eyes watch hers carefully.  his breaths are shallow and all together stop when he watches her eyes drop towards his panting mouth for a moment.  slightly shaking hands lift in resignation as he slowly hears the ringing dim.    “what  ...  is happening ?  what did i do ?”
