CAROL DANVERS + SEXUALITY :
A lot of the fandom likes to write her as a lesbian and she’s actually one of the characters I can not see as a lesbian, her sexuality is actually probably one of my characters who is closest to mine. So, that leads me to my whole entire headcanon about Carol’s sexuality and how sexuality itself is more dynamic -- still not a choice -- but more dynamic than gay, bi, pan, lesbian, etc.
SEXUALITY / homosexual, meaning she will not have sex with men or that she doesn’t necessarily enjoy sex with men.
ROMANTIC INCLINATION / panromantic, meaning giving the right circumstances and the time and ability to get to learn someone, she can fall in love with anyone. male, female, alien, or other various supernatural creatures the marvel universe wants to create. her sexuality still doesn’t change in this relationship -- she really only enjoys sex with female orientated people and / or inhumans, aliens, etc.
Explanation of relationship with Rhodey -- she is in love with him, she does care for him, and she will be with him. She doesn’t have sex with him, but she sleeps in the same bed, she kisses him, she makes out with him, and he is one of her rocks. But, because Marvel is mostly anti-gay and very rarely shows LGBTQ+ characters, they’ll always refuse to acknowledge that Carol’s number one relationship is actually Jessica Drew. The way it’s written in the comics has chemistry and Jessica Drew / Gerry Drew will always come first.
I also, of course, have a huge AU that’s been built on a few years of plotting with @tornfalse that is a mix of Carol’s MCU background / huge comic points and Jessica in NMCU that’s usually the running canon for this blog if I’m not writing with another ship partner.
