“You don’t have to, tch.”
The corners of her lips drag down into a frown, while thin brows furrow by a fraction. There was no patience in her to allow him to wait with her outside a bar, she was perfectly fine by herself. To say the least his company would only be troublesome at best. The reason alone was probably not the best he could come up with for she had disregarded it easily.
Fingers fiddle with the hem of her shirt anxiously as eyes darted left and right, he still would not leave her be. What if HE saw her with him, this was no good. She didn’t want to give reason that she was not as faithful as she said she was.
As minutes began to multiply as did hours, how long had she been waiting at this for him? Night had blanketed their surroundings which left her with a heavy heart and an angry mind. But she wasn’t alone, this boy was still with her which meant she still had to keep up the facade. It did nothing to alleviate the tiredness in her bones or the cold breeze that touched her skin.
“Don’t you have class tomorrow?”
A weak rebuttal to make him leave, she needed to be alone. Or else she’d burst from the seems with an unsightly view for him to behold.
It’s cold. Oh god, it’s so so soo cold, but here he is playing the game of White Knight as he stands with his arms crossed over his chest staring at the stubborn female. This hadn’t been his plans for the night, but he couldn’t just walk away when he saw her standing outside a rundown bar, street lights practically flickering – or maybe that's his imagination getting the best of him. Whatever the case may be, this was just the type of scenario where the girl gets kidnapped or worse. This would be the climax of the movie where the hero ( read: Jinyoung ) sweeps in to save her. ( Clearly, he’s been watching too many films with Jackson. )
“You make it sound like I ever go to class.” The words leave his lips with a smug sneer, because when does he ever? He should be doing his homework right now. But instead, he's standing there with a plastic bag in his grasp, heavy with the weight of ramen stacked up in it. He was fully prepared to face another all-nighter, but he’d been distracted by her and quite gladly. He’d take anything to keep himself from drowning in textbooks.
“Better yet, don’t you have class tomorrow? I didn’t take you as the type to loiter around bars at night. I won’t judge, but you really shouldn’t be here at this time.” He shuffles closer to her, ducking his head a bit to jerk his chin towards a stumbling man across the road. “See that man. If I wasn’t here, he’d probably come up to you with his yellowing teeth and gross alcohol breath, trying to take you home or something.” For once his voice holds a tone of seriousness as he looks back at her, the humour lost in his words. “Seriously, go home.”
