Back in May, I submitted a video of myself sharing a portion of my story for @torrid virtual casting call for their #teamtorrid campaign. I didn’t make it, but was super proud of myself for stepping outside of my comfort zone by sharing my story and a portion of my mom’s story with #breastcancer About a week ago, Kevin came into the house with a Torrid package and asking what I ordered. I looked at him perplexed and said that I didn’t order anything. Completely unexpected and unprompted, I received this scarf from the #torridfoundation. I was and still am completely blown away by this 😭 Whenever I share my story, I don’t expect to make an impact on people. To me, it’s just where I’ve been. It’s where a lot of people in this community have been. The fact that a fraction of my story made an impact on this company still has me at a loss for words, which if you all know me, is a incredibly RARE thing 😅 With that being said, here is some advice I have for anyone: • Advocate for yourself because you know yourself best! • No matter your age, doing monthly self-exams of your breasts/chest area and getting routine mammograms can help you know when something is not normal. • No matter what mountain in placed in front of you, I’m here to support and help you move it ❤️ (at Orlando, Florida) https://www.instagram.com/p/CU3MmErF3i-/?utm_medium=tumblr
