I like tortles.
(i DON'T like the r being variable width when the rest of the letters arent and also its too close to the t. typography aside, it did make me laugh.)

My Follow up to So Your Party Adopted a Kobold/Goblin, now you have Tortles and Grung to Annoy Your Party!
Comes with species rules for Grung and Tortles (Grung adapted from One Grung Above) with Tortles getting subspecies (a tortoise and sea tortle!)
Sure to baffle your players and give you a way to maybe round out the party.

Was looking into Red Steel stuff
Found out that the thing about D&D Tortles only living until 50 (unusually short for a turtle race) is actually sort of a misunderstanding based on some incomplete information of their 5e take
The 2e lore is that Tortles die soon after mating, and they mate around age 50. This is actually an extremely late age to first mate at.
If a Tortles does NOT mate, it can live to be "Extremely old with little loss in vitality." In other words, they have no real defined maximum age by the lore, and are apparently slowed down by age less than other races
There’s someone in our dnd campaign right now who’s playing a tortle and I finally got to impart my knowledge of cloacal respiration in some species of turtles. I’ve been sitting on this for months. Desperate to inform the whole table that some turtles can breathe through their butts. And tonight was the night. And now they all know.
it's fall with the tortles! they're roasting up some chestnut snacks to eat. come hang out at their little tatami stop.
i really want to draw more of my original animal characters and hope to do a full seasonal series of tortle cafes one day.
fun fact: did you know all 4 tortles can be found in my train station and arcade pieces?
