It's so disgusting that this kid is being framed as an inspiring young patriot and not the victim of right-wing brainwashing that he actually is.

These Torygraph headlines had me in stitches. The UK just voted in a centrist party in a landslide and the right wing media are shitting bricks. At least one of these articles talks about Keir Starmer's left wing Stormtroopers and a left wing monostate. I'm now wondering if one or both were satire... Nope. Reliably informed they weren't satire.

The Island and its media stays being obsessed and demented!!! I fail to understand why they think Meghan would want to be President. Even if that’s what she wanted, which I don’t believe she does why do they feel it’s any of their business. If these people aren’t sticking their noses into American Politics/Government when it comes to harassing, being racist and sexist towards Vice President Kamala Harris in trying to stir up discontent and fear about a possible Presidential run for her then they’re harassing Meghan Markle and trying to stir up hatred for something she has never expressed an interest in doing.
This headline really is an exercise in propaganda.
Before trial, you are neither a criminal nor an offender, though. You’re just someone who happens to have been arrested. This doesn’t mean you have committed a crime- “innocent until proven guilty” is a key principle of our criminal justice system.
Also, the vast majority of people before trial are released on bail- so not actually behind bars. Being on bail for a long time can ruin lives, but it’s not actually going to “keep our streets safer” or whatever the implication is here.
