Toryn frequently shirked his guard duties to drink and wander the woods surrounding his home, imagining all the things he would do once he found the courage to leave. For a long time the worst thing that came from it was a slap on the wrist and another lecture about responsibility. Or at least it was until Wennan, his best friend and the love of his life, was killed during a bandit raid. Now Toryn has the freedom he's always longed for, but no matter how far he wanders, a piece of his heart will always remain in Easthollow, buried with the boy he left behind.
