Brian has always taken her to all these places he’s found where they serve something special and different. There’s the diner with key lime pancakes, or the dive bar that serves the best tacos with homemade shells, or this great little hole in the wall twenty-five seater that makes the best homemade chocolate cake with some long name she had to google right there at the table. Corinne always tries to recreate each dish and makes it for them on special occasions or just when one or the other has experienced one of those days. She’s had a suspicion that he does it on purpose, knowing she’ll keep trying until she’s duplicated the taste. He’s not saying, but he takes full advantage of his role as official taste tester.
