So in my headcannon Mason is not Canadian but an American from somewhere in Rural Southern Appalachia.
The relgious community Mason was born into was some form of extreme Pentecostalism (if you're unfamilar it's an Evangelical branch of Christianity that I believe began in the United States but is also practiced all over the world but takes a very particular, unique form in the USA. Some denominations (but not all.) are well known for their relgious rites which include handling live venomous snakes, purposely being injected with poison, faith healing and speaking in tongues.
When he finished killing, field dressing and cleaning Sandy, Mason went to the old country church where the rest of his small, isolated community was having a special midnight sermon, he chained the doors shut, doused the building in gasoline and lit the whole thing on fire. Several members were able to break the door down and attempt to flee during the conflagration but Mason shot them dead in the street, the rest of them burned to death, accepting that it was simply their time to meet the Lord. Then, after getting into a shoot out with the Sheriff in the next county over and nearly suffering a near mortal wound in the process Mason was able to escape the long arm of the law by crossing over the border to the wilds of Northern Canada, seemingly vanishing forever. He remains a wanted fugitive to this day, despite being on the FBI's most wanted list for nearly two decades (I imagine that Mason was young…like 16 or 17 when he…"snapped.")
He still has pieces of bullets and skull fragments (not his) embedded in his body from that day, and some pretty gnarly scars on his chest, he's also missing his right nipple from a bullet that grazed him.
Mason never used a cross bow to hunt until he started hunting people. His Daddy taught him how to shoot and hunt when he was just a little boy, started him off with a little .22 to shoot varmints and gave him an antique bolt action rifle when he got older.
Safe to say that Mason has…issues with relgion. Despite this, he still reads The Bible every now and then. He has an old leather bound King James bible, the pages are yellowed with age and it's burned slightly. He keeps it in the drawer in his nightstand. He's also still spiritual and somewhat superstitious in his own way. I think he has more of a pagan conception of God. For example: he doesn't believe in the usually Christian conception that God is "out there" in the "beyond" looking down from "on high." but rather God is present and embedded within nature itself, the plants, the animals, the mountains, the rocks, the earth, the sky, the wind, the rain, the sun they all combine to form something that is far greater than the sum of it's parts.
He likes to smoke sweet tobacco out of a corncob pipe. He smells like sweet tobacco and…man musk.
He can play the guitar and sing, he knows many old folk songs and hymns by heart…but he hasn't done either since before "the incident."
I was imagining Fox becoming even more cruel, depraved and insane as he ages, like a caricature of the mad decadent Roman Emperor Nero. He becomes a recluse and takes a much less active part in the day to day running of the business side of his activities having trusted employees effectively take over his position. He becomes obsessed with the idea of leaving a legacy behind after he's dead…but he doesn't want children, he starts to think of himself as an artist instead, and his chosen medium is of course…flesh or rather the debasement and transformation of it. He stops looking at his captives as "pets" but sees them as simply raw materials that he will use to realise his creative visions. His streams now function as "performance art exhibitions" where he engages in increasingly bizarre, twisted and devastating ritual abuse of his victims and also himself. He spends millions creating essentially a movie studio, where he can effectively create realistic but totally artificial environments that serve as a backdrop for his streams, instead of his victims being held captive in a simple torture chamber, they can now be held captive anywhere; a lush, vibrant jungle that Fox calls "The Garden Of Eden." for example, or a medieval dungeon or ancient Greece, anywhere. Sometimes he stages absurd, semi-pornographic, frightening theatrical one act plays where his captives are forced to act out scripts that he wrote, almost all of them tragedies. If an "actor" can deliver a compelling enough performance Fox may spare them and write a new part for them in another play. But if they deliver a lacklustre performance he let's his audience decide on what should happen to them. Or sometimes he encases them alive in plaster and turns them into a statue that he paints and uses as a decoration or as a prop for the next play. On other streams he simply murders a captive without saying a word and fashions strange sculptures out of their remains, often combining their body parts with animal bones / parts to create horrifying and grotesque chimeras and at the end of these streams he may auction off the finished piece to the highest bidder. But other "art pieces" are more personal and he keeps these in his private gallery. He becomes addicted to "creating" in front of his "audience." he can no longer relate to anyone on an individual level and only feels alive in front of the cameras, isolating himself even from his most trusted employees at this point. His "productions" and "art" become ever more elaborate, bestial and obscene as the years go on, and more and more he uses his own flesh and blood as "materials" cutting off his own hand, piercing his own flesh, pulling out his own teeth or purposefully putting himself in situations where his captive has a small chance to fight back, with him being excited at the prospect of his victim inflicting an injury on him and more importantly how that injury will look on camera. I think eventually he would become half mad and lose touch with reality, believing himself to be an actual Kitsune from Japanese folklore. Maybe at the end of it all he kills himself on stream or lets himself be killed by a devoted fan, believing that he'll be reincarnated or that he'll ascend to some higher plane of reality…Hehe idk what this is really…I have fantasies and daydreams about Gato's boys sometimes and I guess I just wanted to share one…I have some other fantasies that are actually wholesome, so maybe next time I'll share a nice one. :D
BTD Strade Murder Van / Strade Is A Serial Killer In The 1970s AU ideas.
a bunch of rambling below the cut
Takes place in the 1970s or maybe the late 1960s. Could also take place in the 80s and early 90s I suppose, but Strade would probably be able to get away with his crimes for longer in the 70s and late 60s.
Basic idea: Strade is a serial killer with a serious case of wanderlust who delights in traveling the vast, sprawling countries of Canada and the USA in his trusty van, always preferring to take the scenic routes, and lesser known byways to find small out of the way towns so he can discover the hidden charms and simple beauty of the people who live there. During his brief stay in these towns he will go out of his way to take in the local colour and experience everything these quaint little places have to offer (including their seedy underbellies), he'll strike up friendly conversations with the locals and learn where the best restaurants and bars are, taste the local food, drink the local brews, see landmarks unique to the area and generally seek out as many new experiences with as many new people as he can before hitting the open road once again, never staying in one place for too long and never knowing exactly where his next destination will be. But he doesn't leave empty handed of course, Strade always makes sure to take at least one Souvenir with him along for the ride and usually it's a terrified bound and gagged victim who never suspected the friendly stranger with the funny German accent could do something like this… but other times it's just a cheap little chachki like a fridge magnet or bottle opener. :D
Ren is his young traveling companion of course! Ren was hitchhiking up in nothern Canada somewhere, having run away from his abusive foster parents and Strade just happened to see him on the side of the road. Ren looked so vulnerable and down on his luck that Strade just couldn't resist giving him a lift. Unexpectedly Stade became endlessly obsessed with this young man and decided to "keep" him…forever. They've been traveling "buddies" ever since! So in this AU Ren has obviously still been kidnapped, horribly tortured, abused, raped, emotionally and psychologically manipulated, has terrible trauma related mental illnesses like Stockholm syndrome etc. but he takes a MUCH more active role in Strade's crimes and is his unwilling? but sometimes willing? (it's very complicated) accomplice. For example: Ren doesn't participate and will not participate in hurting, killing, torturing or raping Strade's "souvenirs" unless Strade forces him to, however Ren does purposely act as "bait" and will use his disarming short stature, handsome youthful appearance, and overtly cheerful nature to befriend people and introduce them to Strade knowing full well what might happen to them (But remember: Strade doesn't always kidnap/torture/kill people every time, he has to meet the right person or have a golden opportunity. For example; sometimes he'll just give hitchhikers a ride and let them off wherever they want to go, never knowing that had they interested Strade a bit more they might have been one of his victims…) Ren will even outright lie to people that he knows Stade will like with the promises of money, drugs, "a good time" or however he has to deceive, to get them to meet "his friend Strade." Ren also helps Strade dispose of the victim's bodies, which are "gotten rid of" in a variety of ways. I want the line of sympathy and compassion to be blurred for Ren, he is absolutely a victim, he does these things partly because some part of him knows if Strade has another victim with him, he won't be hurt as much, he does it also because he's been brainwashed and he's under the delusion that everything they're doing together is romantic somehow, that it's a rare type of love that few will ever know, etc. etc. But I think another part of him does get off on the fact that he finally has the power to control the destinies of other people by giving them to Strade, because in his own life he's never had any control over his own destiny, ever and he wants to feel powerful for once. And true power is of course power over other people. I also think there were a few times where Strade didn't actually have to force Ren to do anything to his victims, Ren took the lead without even being told to…or something like that! I'm just spitballin' here. But it should be horribly messy, sad, awful, filled with insoluble contradictions, tragedies and ruined lives.
Stade's Murder Van is a very common make and model but has a heavily modified interior in the back that's basically like his basement in cannon. It's soundproofed of course to muffle the cries and screams of his victims (Strade usually doesn't like gags that silence people, but will use them for practical purposes, he much prefers gags that hold people's mouths open.) He's got his special tools. He's got medical supplies to help his victims last longer. He's got cleaning supplies to clean up the inevitable mess. He has various custom made steel shackles, chains and collars that can be affixed to several points inside the van so he can bind and position his victims in any way he wants while they remain helpless. He has a custom made tri folding mattress / bed when he needs to sleep in the van or wants to get "intimate" with a victim or Ren, it's kinda cramped when it's all folded out and set up but Strade finds it very cozy! I imagine he has fake license plates and can make fake license plates to more easily blend into whatever state or province he happens to be in at the time, I think he'd also change up the paint job every couple of months to really throw off the law! Despite his attempts to make his van blend in to avoid notice by the cops he has an obnoxious and somewhat distinctive custom horn sound that sounds like this lol. Pretty obvious, but Strade is / was a mechanic by trade in this AU and can preform all of his own repairs too.
Strade loves to take polaroids in this AU! Since there's no camera phones, or digital cameras and film cameras are out of the question since he doesn't want these pictures to be seen by prying eyes! He considers himself an Amateur photographer and loves to take photos of nearly everything! Selfies, pictures of Ren when he's sleeping, landmarks, wildlife, monuments, pictures of a good restaurant meal, pictures of the sky, everything! He especially delights in taking pictures of his victims "before" "during" and "after" and takes great pleasure in showing off these photos to new "souvenirs" causing them great distress. He keeps them all in a locked briefcase. Maybe he sells some of these horrible photos to like underground snuff/gore/bondage/fetish magazines for some extra cash, since you know the deep web isn't a thing in the 1970s lol.
Where does Lawerence fit in? I dunno exactly. Maybe he was a potential victim. "The one that got away…" Maybe Ren convinced Strade not to turn him into a "souvenir" and they all just got high on weed together in the back of the Murder Van for a couple of hours lol. Maybe Law turned the tables and drugged them or kicked both their asses and stole a bunch of their shit and just left. I can't see Law joining them, he's too antisocial and would hate traveling, but I can see them meeting if only briefly. Maybe they're up really late at night and just cruising around in the van and see Law just laying in a cemetery all by himself. Ren thinks he's a ghost and tells Strade to keep driving, Strade laughs pulls over and tries to talk to him. Law just looks at him sighs and walks away disappearing into the shadows, never to be seen again. They both remember this encounter for the rest of their lives. :)
The only way I can see this AU ending is Ren shooting Strade in the head and turning himself into the cops, tearfully confessing to everything and getting put in prison for the rest of his life. ;))))
Okay that's all, sorry I haven't been recording stuff, I've had too much fun just reading short stories out loud to myself lately lol.
More Derek Goffard / Derek's Dad headcannons that my lawyer tried to talk me out of posting but I ignored him. <3
I headcannon that Derek is of mixed ancestry his Father is of Swedish/Scottish/British decent and his mother (one of his Father's MANY ex-wives…) is Indigenous / Native American decent. I also headcannon Matt is actually his half brother, as I think Matt has a different Mother (from yet another failed marriage…)
I haven't thought of too many specifics about Derek's dear old Dad but here's a some. He's obviously horrible, but in a way that's a million times worse than Derek. Because he's actually intelligent and very calculating and his rage is…cold…ice cold. He doesn't need to fly off the handle or even raise his voice to let you know you fucked up badly, a baleful stare is enough to frighten most anybody in to doing exactly what he wants. I picture him as sort of a Lex Luthor type of character. A cunning and ruthless businessman with no morals but very good at acting, very good at projecting an "image" and creating a "brand" convincing most everybody with his false smile (and the best PR team money can buy) that he's a "charitable and philanthropic businessman, whose wealth was acquired through simple hard work and sacrifice and who invests in the community to better the lives of everyone in the city and indeed the world." Some other things….Philosophy wise he's a Social Darwinist of some variety. Lookswise I picture him as very tall with broad shoulders, he's a big but very fit guy, he's not "shredded" but he used to be a near elite level athlete of some kind in his youth and is still is very disciplined when it comes to working out even as an older man, he has a treadmill and dumbbell set right in his office...Now I don't typically like using faceclaims of actors because it's usually more fun to imagine a more unique face with elements from here and there but…Dolph Ludgren is my headcannon faceclaim for Derek's Dad...;) That is alll.
Derek Goffard headcannons nobody asked for or wanted. <3 Just sort of spilled out with no coherence.
His Daddy issues are fucking crazy and seemingly never ending. He loves and hates being a "Daddy's boy" because he always feels like he's not "his own man" and he's "living in the shadow of his Father" but loves and revels in the power, privilege and prestige that come with his Father's name and fortune. Resents his father for not really letting him pursue his own path in life and being abusively strict and perfectionist about what he expects of Derek to the point where he really views Derek (and Matt) as not even really individuals but simply as extensions of himself, his will and his legacy. (Matt has made peace with this fact, Derek has not.) Yet at the same time Derek appreciates his Father's discipline even if he often acted out against it because he thinks it made him stronger and better than most other people and he likes feeling that way. In his day to day "normal" life I view him as sort of a Patrick Bateman like character, being surrounded by all this wealth and opportunity and taking advantage of it (and abusing it) but ultimately finding it all meaningless and unfulfilling, all the people in his life are shallow, predictable and boring to him and deep down he wants some kind of genuine human connection, some real love, but he doesn't really understand how people work and doesn't have the emotional intelligence or maturity to be introspective and work on himself or be genuinely curious about other people, so whenever he has these yearnings he doesn't understand them and they just make him uncomfortable, anxious, overwhelmed and frustrated so he stuffs them down, and over the years he's grown to actually despise any kind of emotional intimacy from anybody and only really feels "alive" when he's acting out in some way (usually when he's committing extreme violence/murder and rape.) Oh yeah and I think he listens to Rico Nasty especially that song RAGE (I just picture him blasting that song in his car and thinking he's a bad ass and it's funny to me.) and also Hollywood Undead lol.
I've closed the askbox for now. I've got to get to these requests before there's too many to handle. But don't worry, it'll be open again eventually! :D
hi!! I love your voice for BTD2 Ren < 3 your range is so impressive and I love how much emotion you convey in your voice!
(sincerely a huge ren fan)
This means so much! Especially coming from you!!! You are the most devoted Ren fan I've seen. ;) Sincere thanks for the encouragement and support. I hope to voice more of him, he's a really great, rich character.
Hello, I wanted to ask, will there be more audio for some other fandoms? Thank you for your answer (sorry for the mistakes in the text, I don’t speak English, I’m writing through a translator)
Thanks for the question! Hell yeah I wanna do stuff for other fandoms and people have already kindly requested a couple of characters (Jacob Alden and John Doe for example) I just haven't gotten around to them...yet.
