Hello deviants! I've been wanting to draw something like this for a while and decided to do it today while I have the chance. I stumbled upon @totem_skin some time ago and really enjoyed their aesthetic and gear. Only just today when Totem posted the origin of Totem was I really inspired! Earlier this year I had my heart broken and had to leave California. It was depressing having to come home to my parents with my tail between my legs and having to start all over again. Fortunately, I have a really wonderful loving family who has been so supportive and have made the impact so much easier to take. I currently don't have a job and have just been working on building up my skills, portfolio and online presence so I can begin my career as an artist and illustrator. None of this would be possible without my family and for that I am so grateful. Regardless, the task of building myself and my work from the ground up is very daunting but reading about the origins of Totem has inspired me to keep going. They had much much less than me and managed to create a successful brand and store in a year and it makes me think I have no excuse. It's now or never. Sometimes I think it's hard to see my progress but I gotta keep working and moving forward.
