Why I began this blog
If you get to find my other social media, I surely don’t seem like the person that would make such a type of blog. Maybe one that romanticizes death even, since for some people I do seem “edgy” enough. But I ended up doing this blog because, well, since I began to understand death, being a mortician is a bit of a dream of mine. Not one of those that you’re going to make your whole life to make a career out of it, but one which you think “it would be nice”. I’ve been kind of postponing the making of this blog until earlier this week. A very dear aunt of mine unfortunatly lost to cancer. And as I had to rush all of my appointments and work to be present at her wake (Unfortunatly I couldn’t be present at the burial, College doesn’t give exceptions for the mourning) the idea of this blog got back to my mind. Not many people talk about death/dealing with death. Despite Caitlin Doughty and the Vulture Culture community (I think, never been too much into tumblr at all) not much is talked about how dealing with it. From logistics to the emotional, this is one of those things that you get to unofficially learn from your culture but without any deeper analysis. And I suppose that what I’m here for. I’m not someone from the funeral industry, so I suppose my opinion might be just as uninformed as emotional, so as you deep dive into this, I beckon you to share your thoughts on whatever topics I discuss
