Lost The day was so cool and crisp So I stepped out the door And grabbed my Fat Quad Keen to simply explore. I meandered along little lanes And some random car parks Jumping over the speed bumps Enjoying a childish lark. I spotted an overgrown trail I was happy to test my luck Any conditions were no match For my shiny monster truck. I was frustrated by a fence And the grass stopped me But the unexpected bonus: A majestic fig tree. Then I had to backtrack Not that I really mind Itâs worth venturing widely To see what you can find. Then I noodled through the city My anticipation mountinâ Only to take advantage of An exquisite coloured fountain. There also was a garden One I could not pass With statues of native animals And tress that were made of grass. I soon stopped at a park With contentment I soon sighed To take in all the action of Cricket - six a side. Every delivery was exciting The players having fun Laughing and bashing the ball Under the autumn sun. Then, just 4K from home I enjoyed the city streets Tyres howling, enormous smile Bike under butt and feet. I rolled into our yard Reflecting on streets I crossed Delighted to just explore And in many ways just get lost.
