"Product placement" is the magic term increasingly used to help finance modern films. Whether an Atari portfolio ticks away in The Terminator, Schimanski sucks on a Paroli lozenge, or Marty McFly hauls a JVC camcorder back to the past, sponsors all hope for a significant promotional boost. In search of new advertising vehicles, more and more companies are turning to computer games as a high-visibility canvas for their upbeat marketing messages. Following in the footsteps of electronics giant Sony and tobacco titan Philip Morris, food manufacturers are now also getting on board the gaming bandwagon. Snack Zone is an action-adventure game that revolves entirely around a sausage—or, more precisely, a famous mini-salami. Snack Zone was developed by Art Department Werbeagentur, a Bochum-based studio specializing in consumer-oriented games. Players frequently encounter the game's sponsor as a "Bi-Fi Roll" beams out from the computer monitor—a cleverly placed bit of product placement. I don't have Daisy or her boutique yet (I'll continue working on that when I get off from work today), but I made this for a person on reddit

Also, please note that it's my first time using TOM at all (so if there was an easier way to do what I was trying to do, I don't know them yet)

Nintendo Switch: DDLV Update 8!

From Monsters to OG's, who is ready for the next update? So much to look forward to, also anyone who had a fully decorated valley already has probably lost their mind with the teaser!

Update 7: Honestly, I loved Mike and Sully more as a movie than I do as villagers in my village. Their story line was kind of meh but it is nice to see some Pixar characters, as the Disney Universe is a little bit too big anyways. But other quality of life changes have been nice, like Scrooge's store.

Update 8: This update has a name-Thrills and Frills. This is the next free update to the game, so available to all players if you have purchased the base game. The next upcoming star path is "A Day At Disney" so they are bringing back the rides, which were in a previous star path. The multiplayer mode gets some much-needed updates in making it so that you can use royal tools together while your friends are visiting. Donald's better half comes to the valley, Daisy! And with her comes-A new shop! A boutique to show off your "Touch of Magic" designs. Not unlike the weekly dreamsnap challenges, they will be introducing weekly Design challenges.

So started the game up today, update day! The loading screen normally changes to match the new update image (above) but it stayed the same this time. I got mail from two villagers, I hope this means I can get mail from friends in the future! New star path looks very Toontown like, not complaining! The Premium shop has a new layout. Daisy Duck is here! She comes by way of Mickey Mouse, and her shop is part of her storyline. Keep an eye out for future posts as Touch of Magic designs get more involved in the game.

So far I am thinking of putting Donald and Daisy in the Glade and am extremely curious if they fixed issues that tend to come up with the Dreamsnap weekly challenge when making this new weekly challenge? Time will tell. The Rift in Time Part 2 post is coming up soon!

thanks for the tags @kay-elle-cee and @alittlebitofeverything23 there hasn't been much writing going on in the land of Doe, but here are a few from unshared wip docs that may one day get finished.

Suddenly she’s less alone, someone else like her, someone to confide in, someone to guide her.

They become fast friends, meeting only at weekends and when school isn’t in session, neither ever invites the other to their home.

Severus speaks of potions, and spells and the ability to travel great distances with just sheer will.

Severus makes no apology for who he is.

It's easier to see him when he isn't looking. Without hazel eyes boring into her. He always saw her in a way no one else ever did, he could read her like a book - once his favourite, memorising passages, highlighting sections that have left them both forever changed. She wonders what he'd see now.

“Moony!”

Her eyes follow the voice, only to find a tall figure attempting to untangle himself from his scarf and nearly knocking over a table in the process.

“Prongs!”

Shaking her head in amusement, Lily looks to the crowd, Marlene is already at the DJ booth, Charlie has one ear of their headphones pulled off and is giving the blonde all their attention. 

A burst of laughter behind her sounds like pure joy, like summer has joined them in the wintery Alps.

She’s a few feet away when she hears the call from the bar, “Evans— come meet—”

“Not tonight, Lupin, last night off before the brats arrive tomorrow”, her hand waves in the air as she continues through the crowd.
