Changing Things Up
Going forward, I will be changing how my posts are presented.
I will be doing away with the copy-pastes and commentary and keep the padding to a minimum. At least, for the time being.
I'm doing this so I can free up more time. Time previously spent on tracking down reviews, background information for obscure games, and fighting with Google Translate will now be invested in my well being. Investments likes pursuing a rekindled interest in drawing, and the practice needed to get back in the groove. Down the line I would also like to give back to the sources that have made this blog possible as I have found many holes in their databases.
The current schedule will remain in place.
Thank you all for your continued interest. Take care of yourselves.

'Paradise Cracked'
[PC] [BULGARIA] [MAGAZINE] [2003]
"Paradise Cracked is a mixture of a cyberpunk RPG and X-COM-esque tactical combat. All movement, attacks, and such is done in a turn-based interface, but the game also features dialogue with NPCs, quests and exploration. The background setting portrays the world as an overpopulated, massively polluted remnant of what it once was. At some point, scientists invented a supercomputer they christened BigBrain, which now regulates and controls everything, turning the world into a "paradise". People started hanging around cyberspace more and more, trying to escape from the real world - but on the other hand, this results in a total lack of technological or evolutionary progress for mankind - who needs new inventions if everyone can have whatever they want in cyberspace? The player controls a hacker which stumbles into some odd data in a high-security zone of the all-encompassing cyberspace and is started off with the police raiding his apartment moments later..." ~MobyGames

'Syndicate Wars'
[DOS / PC] [POLAND] [MAGAZINE] [1996]
"The game is built upon a proven concept. The missions are tough, the opponent is demanding, and the graphics have been improved—though often for the worse, as you need a magnifying glass to read any on-screen text. It seemed like we were in for another revolution after all these years, but that doesn't appear to be the case. It’s a nice little gem with familiar locations—definitely worth playing. Yet, veteran players are left with a lingering sense of something missing. As Bullfrog boss Peter Molyneux says: "A brilliant game happens just as rarely as a brilliant movie." ~Dariusz "Berger" Góralski, Secret Service Magazine (PL) (#40, November 1996) [BMT🤖]
