"Don't forget: Your imagination is a powerful magic in and of itself."
When your neighbour is there during your existential crisis.
im the forgotten disney dreamlight valleys number 1 fan (self proclaimed title) + picture of us :3
ALL HAIL
Okay I got two designs of the forgotten that I left in my drafts and didn't do much with it. I was trying to figure out what I was doing with her design. Though I would maybe like to revisit these ideas for something.
Though I liked having her eyes with the yellow and green like Scars eyes. I tried to see if a floating crown was the way to go. But, I dunno I prefer the cool onix crown. Also feathers, she's cooler with feathers. Also between long or short hair.
Overall the drawings look great either way.
Love how Hades friendship quests in Dreamlight Valley are basically him going:
PAY ATTENTION TO ME DAMN IT
It fits his character since his entire thing is being fed up with not getting respect.
Also yes im back to my mother gothel hating in Dreamlight Valley. Fuck her I hope she grows old and falls out a window again
I've had another dream light valley thought.
Merlin.
Who the fuck rebranded Merlin.
Merlin in Disney franchises tends to be the wise, slightly scatterbrained mentor figure meant to guide the players (DDLV & Kingdom Hearts) along their journey. He's kind, almost all knowing, straightforward and full of sagely advice.
Did. Did nobody watch the film?
Ok, sure yeah he has moments like those, but-
- But in The Sword And The Stone (1963) Merlin is a hairs breadth off being a certified nutcase.
The film begins with him bitching about medieval inconveniences while he simultaneously loses a battle with a well. His house is like if a scholar featured on an episode of hoarders. He can't keep track of his own beard and needs to verbally berate his crockery to keep it in line.
He's running about in the woods doing parkour like a man a quarter of his age and every time his straight-man familiar tells him to tone it down or be a smidge more reasonable in his expectations, Merlin actively doubles down harder to prove a point.
The man is sidequest obsessed unmedicated AuADHD representation on steroids. He's brilliant, yes- but also belligerent, crafty, 100% down with cheating on any given task and smug as all hell.
But the part that really gets me??
Merlin spends a good 30-50% of his screen time either annoyed or actively angry.
He has HIS way and things HE wants to do while educating dragging a student along with him and personally I don't think he gives a single fuck about actually running anything. He doesn't even become an advisor until the last two minutes of the film!!
Dreamlight valley should include a 'Merlins Hyper fixation Catch-up Quest', wherein now that we're back he's catching up on all the weird research and wacky adventures he couldn't have during the forgetting. He should spawn in halfway up a tree or fucking about with the green fire in the forgotten lands or upside down in the mines doing god knows what.
He should also get to go ape shit because his crash outs about magic and villains deserve him blowing up or kicking over furniture like he does in the original source material.
But also know that if he whips round to glare at the player and snarls that he thought 'You were going to amount to something!' my first response would be immediate tears. So.
