What trait(s) do you think your character picked up from their parents/parental figure?

//Likely nothing from her actual parents. They weren’t involved enough in her life for her to pick up on any of their habits, except maybe their habit of extreme focus on their task at hand, but that’s likely a more inherent trait than learned.

From Josephine, she picked-up her need to always know what’s going on. She also definitely picked up her “look out for yourself first” trait, although Josephine’s was more focused on making sure Marley was taken care of over herself. Josephine was also really good at knowing how to read a situation and change her attitude/body language accordingly, and that’s definitely something Marley picked up, although more knowingly than any other trait. She watched how Josephine interacted with people and picked up this habit forcefully.

What trait(s) do you think your character picked up from their parents/parental figure?

Primarily her work ethic. Katherine is very much the black sheep of her family, especially when it came out that after all these years she was a Warden in a family of Scribes, so most of her views on life and how she handles things are radically different.

They’re both hyper-serious and very proud of their callings. Studious, thorough in their research and sometimes forget there’s anything beyond their jobs. They focus on a task and get it done, leaving no stone unturned. 

She often refers to her family as a bunch of ‘boring scribes’ but she’s not too different in reality. Her parents are well loved by their community back in Dublin, and growing up as a middle child of eight, they do like to socialize and have a good time, often throwing dinner parties or celebrations. Isolating herself for so many years has hindered some of Katherine’s more learned social skills but it’s inherit enough that she can get along relatively well with others (should she choose to, or if she actually stayed in one place long enough to make real friends).

If your character became stuck in the world of the Walking dead (if you haven't watched tv series / read the comics just imagine a generic zombie apocalypse) then what would their signature weapon be?

ooc: This may sound a little boring but since Dustin is not very strong, I can see that he would prefer guns over melee weapons. So his signature weapon would probably be a handgun. As well as maybe a sharp knife to save ammunition.

How do they act in a formal occasion? What do they think of black tie wear? Do they enjoy fancy parties and love to chit chat or loathe the whole event?

Quail isn’t really great at being formal. She has a hard time toning things down and acting “socially acceptable.” She’s excitable and probably a bit too enthusiastic for most people. She can’t really put a damper on it, so she’s prone to looking like an idiot doing the chicken dance on the dance floor, or stuffing too much food in her mouth at once. Though she definitely likes pretty dresses and feeling like a princess, it makes her a little insecure too because she doesn’t really think she’s very attractive. 

She enjoys parties because she likes going around and talking to people, plus the music and the fancy food, but she doesn’t necessarily make a good impression. Quail is still very much a kid. She’s twenty years old, but she’s not really let go of her childhood yet. She clings to it like a security blanket and she’s just not ready to grow up yet.

[Meta] Do they enjoy any parties? If so what kind? Do they organise the party or just turn up? How do they act? What if they didn’t want to go but were dragged along by a friend?

Meta: Veronica and parties is really interesting because of the ball event (which was legit my favourite thing lemme tell you) but basically because of that she has a sort of irrational phobia about balls. 

So whilst previously she would organise these big extravagant parties, now she just doesn’t and she also tries to avoid them but if it was something she had to go to, she would go but she would go armed to the teeth. If she was at a party then she would be polite and her normal self, but she’d under the surface be tense and very highly strung. 

If they didn’t want to go then I can see Bridget or Cece or Marley dragging them along sure.

[Meta] If they could only take one bag of stuff somewhere with them: what would they pack? What do they consider their essentials?

ooc: First off, Dustin would pack his phone and laptop plus chargers and headphones. Mostly because he’d need a way to stay in contact with his family. He would also pack plenty of food, his favourite shirts and hoodies, and probably a journal where he could have noted down the essentials about hexes from various other books. If there is still space, he might take his stuffed rabbit with him if he wasn’t sure he’d be coming back home soon.

It is really hard to imagine Quail in this scenario because she wouldn’t want to hurt them. She would likely be one of those who got eaten trying to say that they still maintained some of the traits of their original person. I guess if she had to, she would perch in trees and shoot them with a bow.

[Meta] What makes them sad? Do they cry regularly? Do they cry openly or hide it? What are they like they are sad?

AR Dodge doesn’t get sad so much as he gets angry. He doesn’t have healthy coping mechanisms, and weakness (as it is perceived in the circles he’s been in) were something that invariably put him in danger. So did his anger, so he surpresses even that except for when it does come out in bursts when he’s been drinking. 

So no, he probably hasn’t cried from anything other than a lot of pain in YEARS. He has definitely not cried in front of others, and it would take a lot for that to happen.
