Melon x touchstarved!reader
Short Story: Melon should have known the second he walked into the bullpen and he had eyes on him that something was wrong. But he had to slip out of bed this morning and watch as you begged him to come to bed for morning cuddles. He didn't even pay anyone attention until Lt. Soto came up to him. So whose the lucky lady or man, I won't judge you. Soto states as Melon looks up confused. What are you talking about? Melon asks. Well your neck looks like you got mauled by something so I just assumed you met someone. Melon looked down at his shirt and out of the corner of his left eye was when he saw the beginning of what looked to be a trail of hickeys. He sighed before sitting down on a chair in the break room. Melon was softly smiling to himself as he recalled a time where you would only kiss him on the cheek and on the lips if you felt like it. He never rushed you, he could see how touch starved you were. Melon had a business trip a couple of months back, and when he came back, you practically attached yourself to him. The day after that, Melon was on the couch with you sitting on his lap with one of his hands in your hair massaging your scalp while you leaned completely into his touch. The hickeys however were a different story, those only started happening a two weeks ago when Melon came home one night to find you pacing in the kitchen. You had shyly asked if you could mark his neck up with hickeys. He was surprised and had asked what had brought it on. And when he found that you were jealous of the new girl who had moved into his apartment complex who was obviously flirting with him. I just want to mark you so she leaves you alone bub. you had whined. Now Soto was waiting for an answer when the break room door opened and in walked one of front desk guys. Um, Lt. Melon, there's a woman looking for you at the front. You were fidgeting with the spider man lunch box that had Melon's lunch that he had forgotten at home. Melon walked into the lobby to find you sitting on one of the waiting room chairs. You forgot your lunch, Mel-Mel. you mumbled as he kissed your cheek. Thanks bug. He whispered as he kissed your cheek. Melon watched as you blushed, kissed him softly before waving goodbye. Melon didn't even realize he had an audience until he watched as you got into your car, drove off. Melon turned around to find the half of the bullpen just staring at him. Don't y'all have work to do? Melon asked before looking down at the spider man lunch box and smiling softly. That's how Soto got her answer.
