It’s kinda interesting, but thinking about it, Yukari really considers killing a last resort.  Other powerful Touhou characters like Kasen and Eirin seem to be much more willing to just get rid of people that are problematic, but Yukari always looks for a non lethal solution.

Except where Tenshi is concerned.  (Though Tenshi did survive it so she was probably just talking shit.)

it was actually pretty easy i gotta say! i mean that’s not a bad thing really? but it did surprise me though i only went through on easy to get a feel for this one

Oh hey I should actually do that relationshipping stuff I said I would instead of obsessively writing everything else.  Anyway let’s do something that doesn’t get enough consideration :

Ran x Aya

Hilariously I consider this ship doomed to failure, but they seem like people who could end up as good friends even if a romance doesn’t work.  And more options is more better, so here we go.

Most of my basis for this is off of Bohemian Article in Japanese Red.  Aya’s fight with Yukari over her treatment of Ran, and later her chat with Ran over mathematics are both interesting.  There’s also the fact that both Yukari and Ran offer to make Aya their shikigami.

I figure Ran and Aya both share keen intellects and are very modern despite their advanced age.  Given my thoughts on youkai aging, that’s fairly rare.  Aya’s also unattached despite her age, while Ran is off being a shikigami away from the other foxes.

Unfortunately Aya’s carefree nature doesn’t mix as well with Ran’s shikigami pride.  I also can’t help but feel that both of them consider romance something they’ll ‘get to later’.  So while I feel they get along swimmingly, I can’t see a close relationship between the two.  More of a long term friends with benefits sort of thing.  Leaving Yukari to chew on her fan in frustration that her matchmaking isn’t getting anywhere.

But hey if someone was willing to take that ship all the way I would give them full support.
