Host family - Cameron G-M
I was at first dreading the host family experience. As I am not used to experiencing other people's homes without anything familiar at all around me. I am glad to say that I was pleasantly surprised and was left wondering why I even felt scared at all. I was greeted by a boy called Marcus and his brother Nico and his mother. Who did everything they could to make me feel welcome in their home. I was met with constant food from Marcus and his mother which I took with a smile. At first I found conversation quite rehearsed and awkward. Then I discovered that he played FIFA also and wasn't good at it at all which allowed me to beat him many many times much to his amusement. The second night was much better than the first as Marcus took me to one of his friends house. I was met with interesting haircuts and a sense of national pride as we joined in England versus Uruguay themed games. I would like to thank the family for having me as I had a unforgettable time.
