Princess Anne, President of the Mission to Seafarers, and Sir Tim Laurence will visit Greece from 22 to 24 May to mark the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Crete.
In Crete, she will take part in a service at the RAF Memorial in Maleme to commemorate the airmen of 30 Squadron and 33 Squadron RAF who gave their lives in defensive action during the Battle of Crete in 1941.
She will also attend a Service of Remembrance at the Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery in Souda Bay.
She will then head to Chania, where she will attend a reception at the Grand Arsenal and meet relatives of those who fought in the 1941 battle and UK Armed Forces veterans who have settled on the island.
While there, she will visit Firkas fortress in Chania harbour, followed by a short tour of the neighbouring Maritime Museum of Crete. She will then attend a service at Chania Cathedral as part of the 85th Anniversary commemorations, before inspecting the Guard and Band and walking to Chania Old Harbour.
