Somehow never saw people headcanon that Master Chen might be a relative of the Fengxian family, though it would be a cool idea

So hear me out:

Chen was always that 'weird uncle' (prolly of Roby's dad or sum) who decided to stay in ninjago but the most of the family stay in whatever other realms

When the time comes for the next tournament, with the location being ninjago, Chen asks if he can do the tournament himself and RF (Roby's father) who kinda feels sorry for his brother bc he was always considered the odd one, and that his dad died and Chen generally puts the facade on that he's that poor middle aged lonely man decided to agree and give him the control over the tournament for that year

Tbh it would explain the similarities, not only between the tournament but also the color schemes (Fengxian family robe being red/purple color, jst like Chen's color palette)

I jst realized that it would make Roby n Skylor cousins and it would be a cool idea to play around with!
