I loved the mixed format of mini essays, illustrations, reflections and quotes. Each piece took me on a roller coaster of emotions and made me feel reflective about different aspects of my life. I related to so many of the themes, especially the ones about mental health, anxiety about new changes, needing to be productive and exploration of relationships, mainly friendships. I found myself writing down my feelings and post it note questions throughout the book because each piece just goes so deeply into human emotion. I've never read anything quite like this but it will still with me for a long time. It tapped into feelings I haven't felt or allowed myself to verbalize in a long time. Sun's writing has a way of digging deep in its' simplicity. This is the perfect book for anyone looking for clarity or feeling like you're in this in between space in your life. I am a forever fan of Jonny Sun going forward. Just to update my previous post, the scrambled egg recipe did make me cry. It was so raw and honest. This book released 4/20. If you're looking for something light hearted and beautiful, this is the book for you.
