While not a bard by any means, Tova has an immense love of music.

Her tribe, the Kaldyr, is not a literate tribe – all stories and legends are told via the spoken word, song, or dance. As a soon-to-be Ahlfyra (alpha), Tova had to know them all. Not that she minded – she learned them all at her grandfather’s knee as a kit, wide-eyed and eager to learn. On many occasions, she would be found in the tavern, drinking mead and leading her fellow hunters in song, or dancing atop tables.

Nowadays, if you're lucky enough to catch her with her guard down, you might find Tova occasionally indulging in a song and dance. She has a striking voice – but you will never hear her sing in Common, only Kaldyri.

♤ : Cooking headcanon:

Due to being a hunter, Tova has learned how to make efficient meals out of little materials, though she prefers the quick “roast the boar on a stick and eat it” approach instead of cooking it into a meat pie or stew. She’s a goober, though, because she loves the result when she takes the extra time.

I think Tova needs to settle down a bit and learn the true meaning of fun. She’s been on the go so often as of late. Hmm. She has mild leather-working skills and enjoys carving designs into wood but nothing noteworthy to speak of. I suppose she fairly enjoys climbing - trees and rocks alike. She also has a superb singing voice, though she doesn't use it often and doesn't really think of it as anything amazing.

The last time Tova got truly, completely angry, she fell victim to bloodrage and went on a killing rampage of Wood Wailers. Most things that bother her now, she manages to keep her anger in check, but only just. If she gets set off, she becomes a hurricane of force and fury.

Biting

Gods yes. While I believe that many miqo’te have a tendency to nibble playfully, there is a very, VERY fine line for Tova.

Often it won’t even matter if she’s attracted to the person in question sexually - her reaction will still be instantaneous. And quite strong.

This seems to be more common for males, however. It’s easier to tamper down her arousal if it’s a female, or a close friend. Fair warning - If you are a male she is attracted to, and you bite her shoulder, you’d better be prepared for the possible outcomes.

What is it that Tova looks for the most in a mate? Being a fierce character, does she prefer to take charge in the bedroom, or let herself be taken charge of?

Tova may admire combat skills and a great physique, but what she really looks for in potential mates is drive and passion. She has a near zero-tolerance policy for flighty individuals. 

As for in the bedroom - she’s a bit of a switch in that respect. While she does occasionally enjoy the role of Domme, if she’s with someone she trusts implicitly, she takes great pleasure in being submissive. Mostly she prefers her partner(s) to be her equal in the bedroom, enjoying mutual sharing of dominance and submission.

How would one go about earning her favor, or getting on her good side?

Tova (currently) is the most comfortable on the battlefield. If you wish to earn her respect, spar with her, or be in a position where she might observe your skills.

She judges others best in combat. She doesn’t look for overwhelming prowess so much as how they act. How they respond to aggression, if they show fear, exploiting weaknesses, etc.

Though, if you are a male and your physical skills sync well hers during a sparring match, you might just end with a little bit more than you bargained for. *eyebrow wiggle*

Otherwise… Apples. Lots and lots of apples. Apple pastries, apple cider, spiced apple rings, or even just a plain Faerie Apple can cheer her up on the worst days.

3: What’s your OCs favorite food?

Like most Miqos, Tova loves fish, and grew up on a diet of meats and cheeses, with the occasional apple. Simply made meat pies and anything made with apples were always her favorite treat in the highlands.

Since making her home further south in Thanalan, however, she’s been able to increase her palate with more complex dishes. Her current favorites include Trapper’s Quiches, apple tarts, and pastry fish. 

38: Does your OC have any pets?

Her companion torama, Artashir (name tentative), has been with Tova for almost three years now. She has a small kit named Tjorven who is quite prone to wanderlust, and a recently acquired chocobo named Tzofi.

59: What is the first thing that someone would notice about your OC?

I think this question would really depend on the person! Some notice her striking, icy blue eyes. Some might say she smells like spiced apples and leather. Perhaps some would notice her mix of Keeper and Seeker traits. To those magically gifted, they’d see her lack of any arcane aura.

52: How does your OC feel about insects?

While not completely devoid of bugs, the northern highlands were definitely lacking in the insect department compared to Thanalan. Tova isn’t grossed out by them so much as she is unnerved by the noises they make. The click click click of diremites, or the high-pitched buzz of the syrphid swarms are two sounds that really put her on edge. The Yarzons… She’d gladly pay to never see them again.

On a more positive note - she is completely enchanted by glowflies.

48: What social class is your OC from?

Tova’s tribe, the Kaldyr, don’t use personal wealth as a form of social ranking. They understand that each member has an integral part to play - whether they were prolific hunters or children that helped start the campfires. That said, her people were accomplished merchants, doing trade other tribes to enhance their lives (Tova especially loves the citrus fruits that many Seeker tribes offered). I suppose that’d be considered middle class - she worked for what she had and was content with her lot in life.
