completed my Towanda Socks!!
These socks got a lot of wear for a year before holes developed in the soles. Not a surprise since the acrylic/wool DK yarn wasn't reinforced with nylon. I darned the hole and I'm pretty pleased with this result. Pics show patch on outside and in. I've wanted to try this method for a long time - it's surprisingly easy.
Liked the sock so much had to cast on another. Modifications? I meant to reduce from 48 to 44 stitches but CO wrong. This is 40 stitches with DK weight yarn. So far so good.
There’s a project I want to do but have been avoiding because I’m so scared to fuck it up. So this in the meantime. Super easy, fun knit. Towanda
