I love the conversation with Viktor during the tower ending. Especially the one dialogue option that will cause Viktor to point out how self destructive V is being. It's not even as if V is wrong in how they view things. Viktor doesn't deny the facts. He just lets V know that the attitude they have is hurting them. A fact V needs to confront if they want to live. Except it's not totally clear that V does want to live post-tower.

It puts Vik in a weird spot, one that says a lot about their relationship.

It's obvious that Viktor himself is trying really hard not to give up...and here comes an old friend of his who's somehow doing worse. They both need more support than the other is able to give. But V is too wrapped up in grief and existential worry to see Viktor's situation as anything other than proof that the world is shit.

Thinking so much about how in Raiden and Fujin's Tower Endings in MK11 one of them goes "In order to become a good keeper of time I have to burn away all compassion", and the other goes "In order to become a good keeper of time I have to experience full compassion for everyone". Like, the contrast between how these two brothers approach things is just fascinating.
