Vi var på #lego s utställning av kända skyskrapor #towersoftomorrow på #nationalmuseumofaustralia . Dom hade kvällsöppet med alkohol och roliga grejer. Jag gillade särskilt #taipei101 som jag hört om på @99pi #99pi :)! (at Australian Capital Territory)

It was 8:30pm, we were putting our son to bed, and I was about to have a shower, when I realised I hadn't done my "something" for my thirty days of thirty things. 

Luckily, I had some data handy. Yesterday we visited the Museum of Sydney to see the Towers of Tomorrow Exhibition. It's a small show, but packed full of fun models of landmark buildings from here and around the globe, all built by a LEGO Master Builder. It also has LOADS of LEGO for you to build your own crazy tower. As I walked around and read the info about each model, I saw that they had a handy table for each one outlining height, hours to construct and number of bricks used. I snapped a pic of each label there (I don't think I missed any?) thinking it may be handy info for the future. And it was.  

The models are quite beautiful and it's interesting to read about how each had their own quirks and challenges for the LEGO master builder to overcome. It struck me how some buildings were quite tall, but didn't take quite the time as some of the smaller ones etc.

And yes, the Barangaroo ones are tiny dots compared to other buildings there, which I guess means that we won't have whopping great big huge buildings like they have in other parts of the world, but it did make me a little sad seeing them, and thinking about how much public space is being lost to private/corporate space. 

Anyway, it's a great little show, and right next to it is a Seidler show that looked good (but we were dragged out of there by our son who wanted to go and see his friends). Got to return soon.

So that's day three down. It's getting hard now as all we seem to do is go from one BBQ to the next, punctuated by people coming over and visiting. Which is actually very nice, but is leaving me little time to do this self-imposed challenge. So, for the next week or so, I am going to do small things, and wait until my son is back at vacation care and I get a few days in the studio.
