I saw my first Townsend’s Warbler a few weeks ago, and I just had to paint one! I drew this with an old fashioned dip pen then painted with watercolor. I referenced a photo from my wildlife photographer friend Danne. Also, important update: I am leaving tonight for a family vacation. We are going on a cruise to Panama! I won’t have service for most of the trip, but when I return I will have a plethora of photos to post (and hopefully some new artwork too!). Blurry photos through the window but I couldn’t resist sharing this gorgeous Townsend’s Warbler that has been coming to my backyard pond for a splash. He is a recent migratory visitor this week and hope he stays for the winter like one did last year.
