serial defenses is an avenday fic where Aventurine commits a murder, Sunday witnesses him do it, and Aventurine seeks him out while Sunday learns the connections.

I forget if I did posting about my works upon upload back when this was posted, but go read worldly matters by me, it's pretty good if I do say so. I especially like the two lines where aventurine mentions the people in his life, like the "I think about [my sister] to" and the "remember to hide from topaz. and ratio, for that matter"

coffee and mending cards is a quick oneshot set in a coffee shop, where the future looms but does not close in

precarious facades (precarious trust) is an avenday oneshot where they slink away into the corner of a bar and take comfort in each other

they're soooo cute in rest well I really did well with that one <3 <3 fun fact (it's kind of subtle) the reader perspective is stuck in the hotel room! it's most obvious from the opening of chapter 1 and the ending of chapter 2, because the narration sort of permeates the air around avenday during the bulk of the fic, but! your perspective is within the hotel only in that one. you never get to go out into the hall while Aventurine is coming in or while they're leaving

oh yeah if you're wondering about the exact timeline of the angelfae modern, uh. well first step, there's no concrete time passage <3 it's a relativity situation. but the rough timeline?

-> meet during the equivalent of the charmony festival+resurrection of the order (definitely not As drastic but possibly Nearly as drastic) (they do not get along at first)

-> Aventurine and Sunday become friends via being branches of the same friend group (a breezy picnic and my upcoming arcade fic are both placed around the early-midpoint of this stage)

-> they spend time together independently as friends, sometimes with a third party

-> after like a year of knowing each other: Aventurine's looking for a roommate and Sunday wants to move out so Robin doesn't have to stay

(note: Robin and Sunday live with their father, but while Robin has a goal for living on her own, Sunday cannot live in a house with just himself. I will elaborate on this in a future fic)

-> Aventurine and Sunday figure out what it means to live together, with Sunday tamping down his crush and - after a few months living together, where Aventurine starts crushing on Sunday in turn - Aventurine blatantly trying to wear his heart on his sleeve but failing

-> so they've known each other for. defintitely over a year and a half, and have been roommates for at least seven months before actually considering dating

-> then that post-"more than seven months" is where we pick up at for of the fair and divine
