Toxic!Robby would make working with him a living hell.
TW: toxic workplace environment, lowkey mentions of extreme anxiety if you squint, minors don’t interact.
Reports on your record show you’re unable to “be functional during a high-stress situation.”
That’s according to Dr. Michael Robinavitch.
No one seems to understand - you can be useful in an er… he just can’t be there.
Everyone on shift knows this, but no one says anything. No one argues with him. No one wins. Not against Dr. Robby.
So, he lingers while someone bleeds out on the table. His eyes are boring into your hand, and you can’t help it — the scalpel begins to shake.
Immediately— “off, you’re off!” Robby barks. Dennis scrambles in your place.
Dennis was a good doctor … like you should’ve been.
Robby waits for you outside afterwards. You go to find him, you know better by now.
“You’re never going to move ahead like this, you know?” He’s mocking you, his smile is sour.
In the beginning, you thought you were making things up. The anger. The aggression. How it just zoned in on you, and how, two years later, your peers like Dennis were doctors while you’re still a student.
Michael Robinavitch has seen you in action. You’re brilliant. You have the makings to be the best. Yet, Robby decided one day out of the first year you were his student that you would never be a doctor.
Why?
Because he’s seen this line of work breakdown and take the toughest people around him… and he just didn’t want to see you like that. He wants you to quit, but you come back every day, every shift. The concern has morphed into an ugly beast called obsession, but the man found a thrill in it all. He liked you, really.
That’s why he writes the third report against you in a month for failure to do your fucking job.
The line between mentoring and flirting was always crossed when you talked to Robby.

“Nice save on that last one,” Robby gives you two thumbs up, the wrinkles of his crow feet increasing as he smiled.
You couldn’t help it, you felt your face flush red.
“T-thank you Dr.Robby.” You hate how you stutter, but it can’t be helped when you were given an ounce of positive attention from the big guy.
Gosh, was Robby big.
“Going back to our previous conversation before we were rudely interrupted,” Robby’s sweet smile morphed into one of teasing.
Your stomach dropped, and your ears felt like hot coals. You let out a nervous laugh, “What?”
Robby shakes his head. “Don’t play dumb sweetheart.”
He lightly pushes a fly stand of hair away from your face, tucking it behind your burning ear.
“You were complaining about your lack of orgasam every time you sleep with those losers you pick up on those dumb dating apps.”
That was true, but you weren’t talking about it with Robby. You were telling Trinity, your friend, and Robby was snooping before getting pulled for an emergency.
You couldn’t believe he listened in on your private conversation, but before you could even get a chance to be angry, Robby continued.
“I could break your streak sweetheart, what do ya say?”
