¡A smiling smoke ball that seems to be going to explode in your face!  That smile and his skull mark... definitely he was born to being an evil pokémon, from James's Koffing to Roxie's Koffing, all of them are pretty cool.

getting the Toxic Badge was.... painful to my ears.

for the longest time, probably a good two hours, I ran around Virbank City looking for the gym, with no success.  after asking several people for directions and getting less-than-satisfying responses, I finally found the gym.

it was disguised as a nightclub.

no wonder I never noticed it.

I may be a bold, run-away-from-home-don't-listen-to-your-elders type girl, but I am NOT... a "clubber chick".

I do not go clubbing.  too dark, too loud, and too crazy.  not my kind of place.

thankfully when I went into the gym, the club was not open.  however, the band was having practice, and it turns out that gym leader Roxie is the lead singer of this really loud rock-n-roll band.

Roxie... in a Rock-n-roll band..... uses Poison Pokemon???

I don't even...

whatever.  Moro kicked ass in that place.  even though I didn't exactly have a type advantage, I took down the whole band pretty quickly, even Roxie.

On a slightly related note, I finally put all the badges on my hat.

Basic and Jet are so small that they easily move around, while Legend, Toxic and Wave are so one-side-heavy that they somehow keep still. Quake, Insect and Bolt are a little fidgety.

And somehow I haven't gotten nearly as many funny looks at school as I had been expecting.
