69. Flirting Under Fire 70. Locked in a Room

The fireball barely scrapes over his head. Syntax growls and wishes, for once, he agreed to take one of Huntsman's knives. The hacker is taking too long to unlock the stupid door. "Just shut up and help me!"

A strong hand grips his.

"As you wish, my dear."

i like toxic insanity in a shitposty way because i just love the idea of some alternate timeline where syntax is just constantly like "what the fuck why hasn't he kicked my ass yet what the fuck he has full capability to kill me and he has just been Standing There Menacingly"

and then we cut to mayor just holding out some dead roses and various other items your local forest cryptid would give someone like "G I F T =D"

How exactly did Mayor originally approach Syntax about their arrangement in CHAMCH? Cause I don't think you can just walk up to someone and ask them for sex.(or maybe you can, IDK how friends with benefits work)

Igrhaurhaudj I'm sorry but the idea of Myaor just walking up to Syntax and asking for sex is just so funny XDDD

Mayor trying to flirt: "do you like ghost busters?"

Syntax: "...what?"

Mayor: "....."

Syntax: "........"

Mayor: " Sorry I forgot the rest of the pick up line. Do you just want to fuck?"

Syntax: "???????"

For real tho. It was more of Mayor chasing after Syntax for a few days. He would make flirty comments and have lingering touches as he tries his best to seduce Syntax as well as romance him.

Because at the time he genuinely wanted to take Syntax out on proper dates, courting, and such. But of course Syntax the obvious idiot with his trauma past is like: "ah yes. This man is looking for something, and that something is sex." Instead of taking Mayor's pursuit as romantic he saw it as physical.

When Syntax mentioned that he knew what Mayor was looking for and implied that he was okay with a physical relationship because he was pent up and could use a friends with benefits arrangement. Mayor is absolutely heartbroken. He thinks he's been rejected but is okay with a physical relationship too because at least he would be close to his rose.

Of course their physical relationship didn't satisfy Mayor as much as he hoped and where the story CHAMCH picks up is when he decides he's going to try again with dating Syntax good and proper

In cold hands dead heart why am I now imagining syntax plotting to tie up mayor in his webs so he’ll never leave him.
