I told my psychiatrist about my breakthrough about working in a coercive control environment, and she was empathetic and made sure I was taking mental breaks. It was so nice.
I had a small freak out because I thought I had missed an email (a grave offence in my toxic job) and had to take a moment.
Turns out I did not miss it. I did what was asked. Yet, trauma likes to be a bitch.
It's nice coming into work, sitting down, and getting stuff done without being told I'm not productive enough. It's nice being told I'm trusted by my employer, even if my brain is trying to reject that thought like a white blood cell rejects a bad cold.
Baldurs Gate 3 has led me to starting my high-control group (cult) recovery, and that is so strange to me.
Whatever works, I guess.
I've been feeling like an absolute dip shit at work, and I can't tell if it's my anxiety or if I really am off my A-game.
I know I've been dealing with workplace trauma from my last job, so that's been exciting. Said trauma led me into a situation where I swear I almost got fired. (Again, don't know if this is just the anxiety talking, but if my boss had let me go, she would have been fully justified.) Maybe I really am just off my A-game because of this trauma.
Anyway, I will spend the rest of next week organizing the inventory of a small family amusement park.
Toxic work environments may be defined as any work that has an atmosphere negatively impacting employees and causing disruption in their life path and career. If you believe you are in a toxic environment, it’s important to take action early on, so you can mitigate the worst push on your mental health and career.
I'm drafting an email that will definitely get me fired if I send it
