Having to take things out of context really does hurt their argument. If it's really QB, they wouldn't have to do that. Also, this whole attitude that Dansen isn't proof they weren't queerbaited... sorry, it is. They spent the previous season juxtaposing the healthy interactions (Dansen) with the unhealthy (SC). Why would they do that if they intended to make them canon in Season 6?
The other thing that hurts their argument is that it's only clickbait websites and SC fans who ever mention them. They talk about this being the show's legacy, but whenever anyone outside of these two groups talks about the show, all they say is how it was great having a female-led show and that it was a great step forward for trans rep with Dreamer as the first trans superhero in history.
People are going to forget SC in 10 years, but Dreamer will be a part of comic history, if not still actively kicking ass. That does more for LGBT rep than a fanon ship ever will.
Oh, it does. Look at this fresh article written by so called expert:

And well, as I said there, if Lena was a man, she would have been hated by scs and called the most toxic character in the universe. She tortured Kara with Krypotnite and hurt her every way imaginable what was the nail to the sc coffin. And maybe if SCS hadn't been screaming for whole 5 years that lying and arguing is the worst shit ever and no matter how many times the couple said sorry and forgave each other - still, worse couple ever, can't happen, toxic, blah blah, maybe I would not say HYPOCRITES. They set standards for every character and ship and when Lobotomizer violated everything and became worst Kara's abuser, suddenly it doesn't matter.
I call bullshit. They created the shit and now they refuse to swallow it. Good for them, still stinky hypocrites.
And it all has nothing to do with queerbait. It all has to do with them wanting to two pretty white girls kissing and winning a ship war.
Yes, great legacy they have. Bullying actors and writers out of social media, sending death threats and racist slurrs to actors (fan hooligans, anyone?) and spreading fake shit about a married couple, because they want the woman to be in a relationship with other woman. Mhm. So much fun and positive stuff.
Also, sorry not sorry, but shipping two characters that are not canonically lgbt, while ignoring a real established lgbt representation aka interracial lebsian couple that got married and adopted a kid, is and never will be activism or helping lgbt community. With their abusive behavior and completly ignoring the real rep from the show, they made more harm than good. Another sad fact.
Anyway, agreed with everything you have said. I epsecially liked this part "They spent the previous season juxtaposing the healthy interactions (Dansen) with the unhealthy (SC).", becasue I think you hit the nail.
Thanks for the message :)
