Bucky Barnes or Sam Wilson???
Oh god, you horribly cruel person.
Like, they’re both so great.
Bucky is so strong with a heart of gold and has been through so much and is still so brave and sweet. When the whole world views him as a crazed killer he just tries to live his life as quietly and simply as possible so he doesn’t cause anyone else harm but he’s so scared all the time. And just like, resigned. He’s resigned to the fact that the world wants him dead and he doesn’t try to change their mind, just tries to keep away so he doesn’t scare anyone else the way he’s scared himself and I love him so much.
But SAM, Sam is the epitome of loyal. I you want a picture to put in the dictionary that explains what loyalty is you just put Sam Wilson right there because that is what he is. And not just to his friends and the people he cares about, but to his ideals and the things he thinks is right. And even if he disagrees with your view he will still have your back 100% if you’re in really deep shit. And he doesn’t treat people like icons or villains or anything more than what they just people. He treats Bucky like a person, not a porcelain doll that is going to break of a killer that needs to be contained. He treats Steve like a person and not CAPTAIN AMERICA the great soldier that should be raised on a pedestal above everyone else. They’re just people to him, just like everyone else, no preconceived notions are going to change the way he treats them, only the way they show him they deserve his trust and his friendship and his undying loyalty.
And god fucking dammit, I don’t even know if I can pick between these two. But I think if I had to I might... I think Sam, maybe. I don’t know, This is just really hard and distressing. I don’t want to pick.
Happy birthday!!! Have a great day!
thank you so much charlie!!
#6, 7, and 8 for the writing questions!
6: thoughts on critique
if I ask for it, then I absolutely love it, but if not then like…..nobody asked you lmao I just wrote this don’t tell me to fix things if I literally did not ask. but yeah, if I let someone read it over do they can tell me what they think and give me their honest opinion, I love hearing their thoughts on how I could improve certain aspects. (esp if it’s to improve my dialogue skills lmao.)
7: create a character on the spot…. NOW!
arabella dominguez wanted to be a cop when she was little. now she’s an international art thief and that would put a bit of a damper on her resume. it started, as many things do, as a way to pay for college. when your tuition is in the hundred thousands, selling critically acclaimed art puts a pretty big dent in paying it off.
8: is there a character you love writing for the most? the least? why?
so I absolutely love (x5) writing for jack zimmermann, honestly, I love getting into his head and he’s such an emotional character it’s so much fun getting to figure out what sentence structure/word pairing/etc would best display what he’s feeling. I am also a HUGE fan of writing for eugene roe? it’s just so organic to me, I had been avoiding writing for him for the longest time until I got the idea for my ace gene fic and it all came out so naturally that I honestly don’t know why it ever took me so long to do it.
in terms of original characters, I really love writing for my two fave ocs liv and bishop! they both play off each other so well, and I think of the two of them liv is my very favorite bc she’s really snarky and completely unabashed with anything she does its refreshing.
Ummmmm, I'm gonna need more info on this essay you wrote about Tim Gutterson.
(yikes i wrote this like two years ago wtf) but here it is
