I forgot to tell y'all that I've finally been playing Ace Attorney Duel Destinies. I'm currently on case three. Love seeing new and old characters (have mixed feelings about Apollo's voice actor tho) and new features like the "notes" section (no more useless clicking around trying to figure out what to do next). I would like to be Athena Cykes best friend and borrow her clothes please. And I love the orchestral music for this game.
I wanted to redo this post on my favorite 3DS games b/c I ended up quitting SMT IV Apocalypse (hate the final dungeon in the neutral path storyline). I also wanted to focus on games I've beaten and would want to replay, rather than include games I'm still playing (Tales of The Abyss, Bravely Second, Persona Q2). Of course, this could change when I beat any of these.
Etrian Odyssey Untold II, Fantasy Life, and 7th Dragon III Code VFD are especially important to me because these are games I bought digitally and am willing to keep on my 3DS XL's standard SD card.
Speaking of which, I would've been willing to get a bigger SD card if they had a slot instead of putting the damn card inside the 3DS. 😑

This month marked my first year with my 3DS XL. Here are my favorite games I've beaten on it so far: Etrian Odyssey Untold II, Pokémon Omega Ruby, Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney trilogy, Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, and Fantasy Life.
This track & the Music Park one are my favorite tracks in Mario Kart 7 so far
There was a sale on the 3DS Eshop so I decided to give a Shin Megami Tensei game a try. I bought SMT Tensei IV Apocalypse because the premise intrigued me and I like turn based RPGs. I am really enjoying it so far, esp. being able to recruit demons by talking to them, learning skills from them, and exploring the map in general.

Now that I've started a new game and settled on a job class in 7th Dragon Code VFD (God Hand), can I just say that I love the character creation aspect of the game so far? It isn't perfect, but you can choose a character portrait and also choose your characters ' voice in addition to their job class! And apparently, you can change your appearance anytime, which is great since you seem to unlock more portraits and job classes throughout the game.
As a non-binary person, I like using video games to express and explore gender because I can't be my full self in real life. And so, I chose this character portrait b/c their outfit looks queer AF and something I'd like to wear. And I gave them a gender neutral name and a low voice that sounds like Haruka from Sailor Moon or Akira from Kira Kira Precure, who are "girls" that look like "boys".
Even though my character portrait looks female, nobody in the game has addressed me with gendered pronouns so far. I even saw some NPCs using "they" or "them".
Did I mention this is the first JRPG I've played where I wasn't asked to "choose my gender"? Instead, the game asks, "Create a character that represents you." I loved seeing this.
I bought this game because it was a 3rd person dungeon crawler with cool job classes and pretty graphics, but this big ass serving of queerness tastes great too.
