I wanted to make this into its own separate post, because even though it relates to the one I just posted, in a way it’s kind of a separate issue.

I thought that phrase sounded familiar, and now I remember where I remember it from.

Now back to The Perfectionists, take a close look at the girl who Mona kicks out of the bathroom right before freaking out at the mirror.

The glasses, the clothes...that doesn’t seem like it can be a coincidence. And then, right after Mona rushes in, in a state that’s agitated and just short of hysterical, we get this line from the woman behind the monitors:

I’m not sure one way or the other how I feel about this scene yet, but could this be a possible indication that that room with the screens and people with clipboards really is just a figment of her imagination? Or, if it’s real, a sign that she’s close to a breakdown, just like near the end of PLL?

My predictions for 1x10:

I have stayed completely away from any sneak peeks, previews, or other spoilers, so I’m going into the finale as blind as Jenna. Here are some of my thoughts on what I’m expecting to see tonight:

- Within the first few minutes, we’ll find out what Jeremy really did the night Nolan was killed (and it’s not going to be that he killed Nolan). That’s going to be the information mentioned in the synopsis that changes everything the characters think they know.

- Caitlin is going to be put into the unfortunate position of having to decide between going against the group and telling the truth about Taylor shooting Jeremy, or backing up the self-defense story and betraying Jeremy.

- We are not going to find out who killed Nolan.

- We’re finally going to meet Dr. Granger, hence “enter the professor.”

- The gang is going to find some blackmail material against Claire, and will use it to secure their positions at BHU.

- Taylor and Alison will get together (ugh).

- There will be no mention of Emily or Emison, and the shippers will freak out about it even though they were never promised anything.

- At some point, probably at the end, we’re going to get another moment with Mona talking to Beacon Guard through a mirror, indicating that that storyline hasn’t been forgotten.

- The biggest reveal will be that there’s a new A-like figure, and that it’s not Dana Booker (shocking, I know).

What if Alison was the one in need of an alibi? She doesn’t have but she also doesn’t NOT have one and she saw a possibility and she took it?

so the “select few” that beacon cam is watching is nolan, taylor, ava, dylan and caitlin. for what reason i don’t know. I’m assuming they all have ties to something we’ll probably get clued into soon. i think nolan knew this and chose them to be a part of his group in order to protect them, and figure out what connection they have. he’s probably not all that bad. obviously he’s done a lot of shitty things to people, but I feel like it’s only to protect them and stop them from asking questions. he was probably killed because he’s getting close to the truth.

In the description for Kelly Rutherford's character, it's mentioned that Claire and her husband are the founders of Hotchkiss Industries and Beacon Heights University. Maybe it's just wishful thinking but along with what we know about Jeremy's character working at Hotchkiss Industries, do you think it's possible that the main group will be college students at Beacon Heights University? Instead of taking place in high school, we could be introduced to a slightly older version of the Perfectionists, enabling much darker stories to be told without age/plot limitations of more classic teen thrillers...

Theory: Taylor killed Nolan.

Claire literally heard a recording of Dana Booker admitting to attempting to frame the Perfectionists for Nolan’s murder, and brushed if off with the excuse that Booker is doing what she wanted her to, by getting to the bottom of his death no matter what.

But...if she’s aware that Booker is literally setting people up to take the fall, that means she’s also aware that in doing this, Booker is not actually figuring out Nolan’s real killer. This whole thing makes it seem like her real goal isn’t getting justice for her son, but just putting an end to the case in whatever way is easiest. But why? As a mother, she should want to do everything possible to make 100% sure that her son’s actual killer is found...

...unless the actual killer is her other child.

This episode proved that Taylor is genuinely and obviously unwell. She openly admitted that she was actually spiraling before she faked her own death, not eating or sleeping, and she was obviously and scarily out of control in tonight’s final scene.

And when it comes down to it, Claire and Taylor are basically doing the exact same thing. They’re both absolutely insistent on finding Nolan’s killer and bringing that person down. But both of their strategies involve latching onto the first possible suspect they’re aware of (for Claire it’s the Perfs, and for Taylor it was Jeremy), and adamantly insisting that that person(s) is the killer, right from the get-go.

Almost like they’re both trying to push the murder on someone else.

The biggest reason that everyone (aside from Mona, which just makes me even more convinced) seems to trust Taylor so fully is because she seems to be openly rebelling against her mother. But that doesn’t necessarily mean she’s definitely on their side.
