Asya Rasmussen:  Thanks for inviting me to come along with your girlfriends, Brook.  Sergio, Sierra, and I enjoyed you guys’ BBQ the other day.  Sierra is just crazy about lil Everly.

Brooklyn:  My pleasure, Asya..I’m glad you could make it.  This is a great bunch of girls to hangout with.  And I’m so glad to finally meet you.  Leland is way more relaxed now that Everly has a good friend at school. Sierra is smart as a whip!  And I think Everly is starting to get used to the amount of schoolwork they give.

Tina:  Aww your belly is growing Tehya, time is flying on by!

*Boing-ooinnnng!*

Tina and Tehya look at each other...afraid to speak.

Tina:  Did rubbing your tummy just make mine pop out?

Tehya:  Rubbing tummies don’t make you pregnant, girl..stop. lol!  You been holding out on me, Tina..not fair!  

Tina:  LOL! I know..but I only officially just found out, tho!  *catches confetti*  I’m gonna be a Mom!  We didn’t wanna say anything until we were absolutely sure.

Tehya:  Well, there’s no doubt about it now, all this confetti. lol! More congrats are in order! Yayy!  Our babies can grow up together!

Penny steps away from the group after seeing all of this...her sadness creeps back up again...she would love, more than anything, to be a Mom.

All of Tina’s girlfriends got together and went to the Llama Inferno by @jenba to celebrate Brooklyn’s engagement to Leland.  (Pictured top pic:  Brooklyn Dubose, Tina Raymond, Tehya Morales, and Penny Alston. Not pictured yet: Aysa Rasmussen, and Lola Galvin.)

Tina:  Congratulations, sweetie. I have never seen you more happy and sure of yourself.

Brooklyn:  Lovin’ that haircut, girrl!  And I’ve been meaning to call you.  I really wanna thank you, Tina.  ..Seriously.. cause if it wasn’t for you opening my eyes to Don Lothario, I might not have ever met Leland.

Tina:  Thank ya, thank ya..I’m loving it too, in this hot weather.  

It’s my pleasure to be able to help a sista out, Brook.  Us short-haired girls gotta have each other’s backs. 

Brooklyn:  I know that’s right!

Tina continues:...And, I’m sure you’d do the same for me. I was honored that you confided in me and let me talk you off the edge that night.  Girl, you were about to change your entire destiny, foolin’ around with that player.  My delivery could’a been better, tho.  But, this just goes to show...when one door closes, a better one can open up, if you’re ready to go through it.

Jeffery wakes up with a growling stomach and with Tehya’s nod of approval, Penny gives him a plate of Tehya’s excellent gourmet Chicken Saltimbocca. 

That is actually how Penny and Tehya met..the food smelled so good in Tehya’s apartment, wafting out into the hallway, Penny went and requested a plate. Tehya’s never met a stranger, she let her right in... and back in those days all she was cooking was grilled cheeses..you would’a thought she had some kinda special sauce in ‘em. Her tiny apartment stayed crowded.

Now, lil Jeffery is babbling, trying to tell his Auntie Penny how good that chicken is. Mama’s proud.

Wednesday, June 5, 100 - JTMorales

Sadly, this is my last night at the Morales Family home. I’m gonna miss them, til we visit again.  They have become my favorite family.  But, we’re off to visit Brooklyn Dubose next.  (She’s their neighbor across the street, in Newcrest, who Tehya & Jeffery met yesterday.)

On this last evening, Jared invites his boys over for some ice cream and to catch up with ‘em.  Let em know he’s a Medical Technologist at T. Pose Medical Hospital now, and moving on up in the world. Also to celebrate his young son Jeffery has finally mastered the potty. No more diaper changes, he hopes. lol  Hey..that’s reason for celebration!

(2nd pic down, from left to right at the table) Jared’s old high school buddy, Javon Moore. Jared played wing man for Javon, many a night, back in the day. 2nd up, is Travis Alston, Tehya’s best friend Penny’s husband.  Lastly, there’s Marcus Flex, Jared’s workout partner.  

On the basketball court, pictured in the red and black jacket, is Jared’s best friend and hospital co-worker, Dr. Eric Lewis.  He and Jared hit it off immediately at Jared’s 1st day of work, and have talked daily ever since.
