Critical issues arise everyday on the job as a Government Agent. It’s left Leland struggling to relax the past couple of days. He can’t sleep and he tried playing some chess, watching tv, and playing the girls’ video game system, but none of that gives him any pleasure.
He knows what will..and despite his gut instinct not to do it, for so many reasons... he’s hungry, tired, cranky, and tense. But, he invited Brooklyn over for a late night rendezvous..or booty call, if you wanna say it like that. lol ...anyways.
He just hoped Brook didn’t mind how late it was. It’s 3am for crying out loud.
Hearing his strained tone on the phone, Brooklyn knew he needed her. Lee never does this. So, she made it there in 20 mins. cause there was hardly any traffic at all.
Their play time started off well...but try as he might, he just couldn’t enjoy himself to the fullest extent that he wanted to.
Leland: *showering* Baby, what can I say..I’m embarrassed. You drove all this way for me..and ...
Brooklyn: *interrupting him* Hey...I don’t want you turning this into a ‘thing’ ..it happens to the best of us. And I know we haven’t known each other for forevaah, but it seems like it. I love you. That means thru the ups and the downs..literally! *chuckles*
Even Leland laughs. She’s always so funny.
Brooklyn continues...You’ve got a lot on your mind, baby. You’re hosting a 4th of July party, which is so totally out of your wheelhouse. Lee, you don’t entertain! *chuckles* I’d be nervous, too! So, please..I understand. I will be here with food and to help you decorate and set everything up, alright?
Leland: I appreciate you. Your girls coming?
Brooklyn: Yep, with their husbands. They’re all looking forward to it. And you’ll be able to meet everyone. Have you some hangout buddies to b-ball with. *smiles*
Leland: I’m looking forward to meeting the future Mayor, Sabien Cunningham, he’s got some fresh ideas for the Agency. *talks thru a sleepy yawn* Eden and their son, Marchon, have been working together on school work.
Brooklyn: Hey..the clocks ticking. You’ve got a big day ahead. No more talking tonight..let’s get you into bed, and I’m gonna see you in just a few hours, bright and early...if you can get up. *they look at each other..she gave another pun* We can always have a ‘re-do’ later. ..winks..
Leland: Oh I’ll get up. *playfully tickling her* I’ve got to..I got a service man coming to install a new dishwasher. The girls don’t know it yet.
Brooklyn: See..that’s why you’re my guy. You’re the best Dad, the best big brother, and the best boyfriend. They are gonna love that. *kisses him*
