Tsipar! This is a drawing of him as an adult, because he is approximately the equivalent of a human five year old in my fic and I did not want to figure out how to draw a child so I aged him up for this drawing. In my fic he is Loāak and Tsireyaās oldest child and heās a sweetheart.
I started doing art of the minor characters that are showing up in my fic and apparently I am not stopping so
have a Rokxaye, Iāve already made a post talking about her quite a while ago so I will just say her motto is basically āI am going to cause a lot of problems and it will be on purposeā (she is an antagonist, if it isnāt obvious)
For the WIP Ask game (if I haven't already sent you an ask for it):
Do you have an outline for your WIP, or are you making it up as you go?
4. What percentage of your WIP do you think you have done so far?
5. Do you schedule time to work on your WIP regularly, or do you work on it whenever you feel like it/can find the time?
22. What is a spoiler you can give us for something incredibly insignificant in your WIP?
You did already send me an ask (and honestly Iām hanging on to that because I donāt have a clear answer for āwhat is the sentence you wrote most recentlyā or whatever the question is so Iāve been waiting till I have a chance to write some more to answer it, haha. But Iām all for answering these questions so thank you for both asks!!
1) I have a basic outline of the most major plot points for the overarching conflict of my fic, while smaller plot arcs are writing themselves as I go along, so I guess both!
4) uhhh. uh. oh man. Iām gonna say like⦠8%? I have a feeling this is going to become a behemoth oops
5) no schedule, no plan, only disastrous, inconsistent, all over the place writing sessions
22) hmmm now this is a hard one. I mostly only have ideas lined up for the big stuff so an insignificant spoiler is more difficult to come up with⦠how about⦠Loāakās son is adorable and he finally shows up (briefly) in the next chapter⦠when it goes up
Trick or Treat? š¦
š¬ Treat!
Of course, Iām going to take any opportunity to ramble about my time!verse AU
despite the fact that I have one fic with only two chapters posted⦠I have far too many ideas for prequel fics set in the same verse living inside of my brain, wanting to be written while I beat them back with a stick and tell them I need to work on the actual fic š
A lot of the extra ideas I have were inspired while I was listening to a song, but in this case, it was a random phrase. āOne if by land, two if by sea,ā that phrase referring to long ago american revolution stuff that I tried several times to explain but couldnāt find a way to do succinctly because Iām like that so⦠look it up if you donāt know but do care?
Anyway, for whatever reason, my brain adapted that phrase into āOne is by Land, Two are by Sea,ā and built a fic around it. It would be from Neteyamās perspective, about being the only living Sully child still with the Omaticaya after Tuktirey and Loāak join the Metkayina. Very melancholy, introspective stuff. So⦠now I have an excuse to write a snippet for that :)
Once, Neteyamās father had told them about ghosts.
Growing up, Jake was always full of stories, fact or fiction or a mix of the two, all from the far away, foreign planet where heād been born. Many times, when heād tried to explain something from Earth, whether myth or custom or tradition, theyād end up confused. Sometimes, they would pretend confusion just to watch Jake desperately trying to come up with an explanation, but just as often the bafflement would be genuine.
Ghosts had been one of those things that, the harder Jake tried to explain, the less anyone understood.
Now, standing alone in the middle of a marui that had once been filled with movement and laughter, Neteyam recalled that long ago attempt at a lesson and thought that he understood what Dad meant when heād talked about ghosts.
They echoed here, his siblings, in the height-marks carved on support poles (a borrowed practice from Earth, he distantly recalled) the scuffs and scrapes on the floor. But the loudest echoes came from the emptiness. In a home that had felt too small for six, yet so massive for three.
What was it that Dad had called it, Neteyam asked himself, wracking his memories for that long ago, sunlit afternoon when ghosts seemed so impossible to comprehend. Haunting, he thought. That was it. When people were driven away from a place because ghosts lived there, they called it haunting. Or was it haunted?
Nobody had explained that the more people who fled, the more ghosts were left behind.
and thatās that!
