For. R e a s o n s. What would MCRP RQ Light's biggest fears be?
(+ biggest fears of any other mcrp characters you wanna yap about)
I know you've already got El and Prof red, but I wanted to do it anyways lmao. The rest are under the cut bc this was- very long- 💀
Elemental isn't just afraid of hurting people and himself in his self-destructive antics, but also that if he shatters those relationships, he's lost his second chance and he cannot get that back - that it's inevitable that he's going to be despised by all, for the pain he's caused.
Professor Red is fundamentally afraid of being dismissed as a crazy old man with nothing important to say, and that his strange eccentricities/effects from TFC's insanity curse make him a scary, unpredictable person to be around.
RQ Light is afraid that all his efforts won't help anyone, and might be making things worse - his often blunt personality can be too rough for others, and he's constantly trying to do little projects to keep himself from spiraling into an identity crisis - he's mostly comfortable with his transformation from Shy Orange, but sometimes it peeks thru in painful nostalgia for soft hands he doesn't have anymore.
TSS Rainbow wishes he could go on adventures all the time like the old days, and almost feels like a retired old man that's past his glory days - he doesn't know if he's wanted anymore with all he's been through.
Stargazer is afraid of being discarded, a forgotten, broken robot that no one thinks of as a person - he doesn't want to lose his new relationship with the Galaxy family and become just another fading star.
Plague was a pathological liar, and he's terrified he's gonna slip up again and infect people just so he feels loved.
Nightmare is trying to be better, like he was after redemption, but being stuck as his kingly self he's still somewhat seen as a villain - his already-rough personality doesn't help in the slightest.
Galaxy is trying his hardest to stay present for his friends and family, but sometimes he yearns to slip back into daydreams and fantasies and forget it all - trying to balance fun and responsibility is so difficult that he sometimes almost burns out.
Illusion is terrified of breaking his mind again going down paths of curiosity and escapism and thus refuses to change - that's why he's not in the main au's house, due to being too afraid of ruining his sanity by meeting new people.
Memory isn't in the au because he's always, always lurking, and is hard to catch - but the reality is that he feels like a monster when he was coerced into hurting the Galaxy family by Void's will, and he doesn't want to show his face to them, especially feeling like Time shouldn't forgive him (...like a god).
Both TSS Light and TWA Sabre are terrified of being called cowards, but their bodies just aren't built to survive rough labor and extroverted excursions. Light is selectively mute, and much like Stargazer doesn't want to be left behind - but he's often overwhelmed but he tries to force himself thru it bc he doesn't want to be infantilized.
TWA Sabre feels the same, but he also is afraid especially of being alone - in TWA he never was, and he can't help but feel empty when he's not fused with Galaxy and/or Rainbow anymore - still, his body sometimes doesn't feel like his own.
RQ Rainbow is afraid of not being the main character of his own story - whether bc of mental health or bc others deny him a chance, he can't help but feel like an imposter of a hero.
RQ Dark is constantly feeling extreme guilt for what he did pre-redemption, and swears he can feel Happy Orange's and Yellow Assistant's judgmental gaze on him - he feels he must constantly improve somehow, or else he's back at rock bottom, like a demon trying to be a fallen angel.
TR Sabre tried to full-on disconnect from himself and from everyone else when he found out IGC was behind everything - he's afraid he's not human/himself anymore and instead something wearing his face, filled with yearning and dangerous, evil thoughts he has to tamp down before he tries to destroy everyone again.
TR Elite/Shadow can't help but feel similarly, and is also trying very hard to change and improve - due to his Libra origin, he feels that his every move is life-and-death, and one mistake could ricochet into disaster, so he's almost OCD in how obsessive he is over the morality of his actions.
TR M used to be very depressed and dissociative in his old life, and often gets nightmares - he feels responsible for Twisted's deeds and the things he was forced to do in the war, and worries he's too broken to deserve this second chance.
TR Assistant is the same but even worse - bc he's also Prof Red, the two feel heavily disconnected from their identities and bodies, being fused into (what they believe) an unholy abomination, and that nothing will get better for them and they're trapped in this fate forever - they fear being perceived as a useless, broken robot and person, fundamentally unlovable.
Genesis is afraid of being feared due to being a dragon ofc, but also that he must now bear the responsibility of Inferno's destruction and the weight of SL's deaths, often feeling too large for this world and unable to fit into anyone's life comfortably - he also feels something missing but he can't remember it, so he quietly mourns for them.
Beef still secretly yearns for the Faceless curse sometimes, wishing to escape the pain of being who he is and the scars he bears, and he can't help but wonder if he's just not strong enough for this second chance and that's why he still wants to escape.
Seer is utterly horrified by Void and the broken memories dictating his fall from grace - he's still plagued by Dread's nightmares, and can't tell if maybe he'd always been corrupt to his core, and like Elite feels his every move hangs in the moral balance.
As said before, Spark fears that his good intentions are paving his path to hell, and can't help but be frozen with indecision, especially when he really wants the other Red Elites to be proud of him - he's constantly feeling perceived as either a helpless child or a delusional maniac (he doesn't want to admit that he might actually have a delusional disorder, and tries to hide it).
Colle feels the weight of SL's deaths too, and especially feels responsible for Seer, and is almost overbearing in how much he checks up on him - he's still plagued by Dread's nightmares and Void's shadow-figures, resulting in chronic fatigue that leads him to overwork himself and crash out again and again (sometimes he wonders if he's in a limbo as punishment for failing...).
Sharp fears he's losing himself in his almost obsessive state in which he collects knowledge and repeatedly organizes his library - he fears The Great Librarian is a spirit possessing him and he's no longer himself, but a knowledge-hungry beast - he feels stuck in the past, a ghost of a person.
SSO Sage and Nightmare, both dragons, are two sides of the same coin. They have the same relationship as in Mayhem's aus and interpretations, but they also fear that their cat-and-mouse game will never end. Sage sometimes still cowers in Night's presence, and Night can't help but bite her (yeah they're also yuri), and they feel forever entangled in each other's worlds even when they don't want to.
TW for body horror, gore, scopophobia, trypophobia, and melting
First the remaining three of my characters, TSS Stargazer, RQ Leaf, and TR Assistant!
Stargazer is obviously the trypophobia TW, but I also went with a seal-snail thing. I just added the shell later when his design seemed kinda boring. His neck is elongated and crooked, and he has four flippers of varying mechanical states. Some parts of his skin is still metal, but much of the organic portion is riddled with holes.
Leaf is mostly just a squid dog, honestly. She has some snake-things coming out of her ears and her back paws are more sharp and almost reptile-like. Her front paws are more wispy dark tendril things, compared to the tentacles that replaced her tail and coming out of her body all over the place. She also has doubled pupils.
Ah, Assistant Steve and Professor Red. I'm so sorry man. Prof. Red's body is twisted and joints forced to bend backwards, and his head, hand, and eye is swollen. Really, his whole body is swelling up. Several chains are stuck in his visible spine and face, caught on his eyelid and teeth and lips, and connected to his hand. Assistant himself is almost normal, just...ripped in half and with more of his face missing. His neck is also twisted around with Prof. Red's. The chains on his mouth are stuck in his fingers, making it difficult to move and turn his head. His spine is all twisted around, much of his torso swollen and his spine facing the floor. The chains down there just swing around as he scuttles about. He's definitely in the most pain of the three.
And as promised, another sagemare piece! This time with their mcrp dragon forms mutating!
I decided to go for a mix of hanahaki disease and the thought of something living underneath Sage's treebark-like skin. Like Genesis, she has a split in her torso, but on her back instead, with hands and eyes inside of it. She has a bundle of flowers coming out of her mouth, and a huge flower on her head and tail, as well as some roses with eyes on her front legs. On her legs are more "broken bark" with more eyes and hands coming out of them. A few holes on her body show more eyes inside her. She has feathery wings and spirally eyes.
For Nightmare, I gave her more horns, leaves on her nose-horn, and lots of eyes where her magma-spots were on her back. Same with her wings, they're still very fire-looking but now have eyes on the inner part. Her back half is now almost like a ghostly fire, and tbh it almost looks like she's coming out of a wall hehehe! She has an extra set of front legs, all which have eyes on the palms and elbows. She also has a set of ghostly wolf legs because I originally wanted to do a wolf thing with her. Her chest and stomach scales are lined with teeth.
Now, these guys I'm not actually sure if I'll be including, but they're Winter, Colle, and Desert from Dracl's broken SL world. If you wanna choose their mutations/if they're even in the mutated au, you can lol. I just got bored and wanted to doodle more-
For Winter, I just went with a simple melty look, because why not? Also a soft fur coat :3 His outfit is also vaguely burnt-looking, since their world was burnt and infected with darkness and all that. With Colle, I made him sticky and with extra arms cause he was so clingy when Prof. Red met him. He also has sticky hair and.....some sort of honey-ghost-dog thing. I don't know, Desert's tail just looked like a dog creature to me- Desert's doodle is simple but gets the point across: some sort of broken glass-melted glass hybrid. His eyes are floating out of their sockets and the broken glass surrounds his head like a halo. And the melted glass is sorta like a snake tail, because of course.
The ghosts are all normal, though they probably tried to possess Assistant trying to help the others.
TW gore, body horror, unsettling imagery, general weirdcore things, scopophobia?
Welcome to day 17 of Stevetember: whisper! I decided to write a lil about my TR Weirdcore au!

"O-oh-? Is this...uh..your uncle?" Sabre looked up at M. The glow of his TV made odd highlights on M's petals and leaves. He shrugged, but stepped past the blood, kneeling beside the robot-that-wasn't-a-robot.
The eye blinked a few times, staring at M's three-eyed roses. Trying to make sense of what was happening. After a long moment of staring, "Prof. Red" wrapped his rusted arms around his nephew. M embraced him, turning his flowers towards his long-lost uncle, practically wrapping him in thorny vines that scratched his metal skin. Prof. Red paid no mind to it.
M paid no mind to the blood and oil that now coated his pants and much of his hands. This *was* him, it had to be! He thought he'd never see his beloved uncle again, much less with the world in such a state as it is now.
"Aww!" Sabre shook as much of the oil and blood off his hands, using the discarded TV to stand up. Shadow stood by the door, looking around the rest of the hallway. He could feel...something, someone else here..He wasn't sure, though.
Their bodies all behaved strangely, from what he'd seen. Sabre and that robot both had some kind of machine screen for a head, M and his uncle seemed to have eye related heads...What was he, then..? Trying to touch his face just felt like sticking his hand in a cloud of dense, chilling fog. Did he even have a face anymore...?
That question was cut short by the scratching of metal, and an all-too-familiar high-pitched voice. "OI! Who's down here?!"
"Wh-wha-" Shadow ran inside the room, trying to cover Sabre's mouth. M and the professor went still. "Shh..hide.." He and Sabre knelt down, hiding behind the workstation. M grabbed the TV, which Prof. Red covered himself with again. "Assistant" went still, as M cowered behind the worktable.
A figure with a melting rainbow spiral for a head stomped into the room. The piercing eye glared at the damaged robot. The visitors hid in terrified silence, still as statues. Twisted's gaze surveyed the room, seeing the oil everywhere.
"UGH! Must've sprung a damned LEAK or some shit! Stupid good-for-nothing machine..!" A "tentacle" of his flung a rainbow-toned spike of...something.. at the wall. It lodged itself right in the messily spelled out words of blood. He huffs, before stomping into the next room.
"They might be back up top...this godforsaken dimension is so fucked up...Can't believe this place just keeps chAnging-!"
His voice echos off the rusted, moldy walls of the core's hallways, making an uncomfortable cacophony. Sabre grabs at his head, his screen flickering over and over.
"...You okay..?" Shadow barely dares to whisper, terrified of what Twisted could do to them. Sabre claws at his nonexistent face. Shadow grabs his hand, Sabre freezes.
His screen keeps flickering.
...
It's not just flickering to the eye-static screen.
It flickers to him being crucified on a rotting wooden cross. A magenta light surrounds him in a dark church.
It flickers to a massive rose bush, the thorns entangling the "camera." Sabre stares at it, engulfed in moonlight in a blocky forest.
The real forest. The one without eyes and rubber grass and flesh trees...
It flickers to an empty playground. He's slumped over on a swing. A massive clock overhangs the entire foggy playground.
The ticking heard up close, like in the back of Shadow's mind..
It keeps switching. Shadow gently but firmly smacks Sabre on the back. He coughs, the screen turning to rainbow static before shaking his head. It returns to normal. His breathing is heavy and labored.
"S-Sabre-?"
"I..I'm fi-fine...we need to-to get outta here-!" Sabre pushes himself up, his glow a bit dimmer. Shadow holds onto him, trying to keep him from falling. M and "Assistant" are already standing. Shadow looks to M. He nods.
"Okay..Let's be quick about this then..." M is the first one to check if Twisted was out there. No sign of him, but there were more rainbow spikes lodged in the walls...They looked glossy, like...candy..M quickly nodded, moving toward the elevator. Can't think about food, not when you don't even have a mouth...The four are hasty in getting to their destination, wasting no time in opening the elevator and getting upstairs.
Sabre is still shaking, leaning against the vibrating walls of the elevator, which doesn't help at all. Shadow stays next to him, watching. He's not sure what just happened, but he'll do anything to prevent it from happening again. His mind still keeps flashing back to their fight, the neon green almost consuming his thoughts. The elevator creaks open again, the outside air uncomfortably humid and warm.
"Ughh..." Sabre says almost sickly, as he catches sight of the circle of eyes in the sky. He quickly stares at the ground. "Let's just...get you back to the forest.." M leads the way, holding Assistant's hand. Shadow holds Sabre's, keeping him focused on the floor rather than the dizzying patterns in the sky.
....
Also! Here's Twisted's design, since I've not yet drawn him:
