Happy birthday, Lara!
Another Lara Croft this time from Tomb Raider TLR! This was one was hard because I had to get a reference photo, which threw off my cartoonification game, and I still don't know what I want her face to look like. But baby steps 👣
Not me watching a video walkthrough for the Cairo levels of Tomb Raider 4 so I can just speed through it!!! (NGL I thought about level skipping for a second but I REFUSE). 10 minutes into City of the Dead and I'm just like "Nope, even remastered the Cairo levels blow". I remember feeling these levels were suuuuch a drag as a kid and I can just feel it in my bones that it still is lmao. Doesn't help it seems the majority of the people on the Tomb Raider subreddit say the same.
Seems the Giza levels are too but I remember being fine with the Giza sections, I think it's just due to how dark as hell, drab, and really samey the Cairo section is. Which is a shame because I feel a if it were better done I'd love to have explored it!!
Considering I haven't played this game in 23 years I have a feeling the comments that it's too long, out stayed its welcome, and fatigued players out, are on to something lol. Back in the day since I was a lil 8 or 9 year old playing it I relied HEAVILY not just on Stella's walkthroughs but straight up cheating and even level skipping at times too because I couldn't get through certain sections. I did this for all the classics and TO THIS DAY, a feel like an imposter, a fake fan, for having that that lmao.
