February 2016 marks the 10 Year Anniversary of the one song that expanded my world and continues to bear fruits. It was #kismet when I set out to make the #TellMeWhenToGo #TrackademicksRemix ... I got the acapella from #BSideRecords in Berkeley and the sample (name it if you know it) from @amoebaberkeley, hit my old studio off 23rd Ave in Oakland (which burned down a few months after) and put it together on the 10" car subs that I used to make sure everything Slapped... I knew this one was an instant hit. The next day I brought burned CDs to all the high school kids I taught @youthradio in Berkeley and uploaded it to my myspace page... That's how a fire starts to spread. I'm so blessed to have been a part of #BayArea rap and such a pivotal point in time. The essence of the #HyphyMovement has lived through all the subsequent eras of Bay Rap, influenced rap music as a whole, and continues to be deeply entrenched in heart and soul people of this region. #Hyphy will never die. @e40 @therealkeakdasneak
