Trad Moore
2022's Doctor Strange: Fall Sunrise Vol.1 #1 cover by Trad Moore.
Batman and Superman by Tradd Moore
It’s hard to judge Damion Scott’s art on its own merits when it follows five issues of Tradd Moore’s astounding visuals. I do believe that I wouldn’t have liked this book quite as much if it was Scott’s art that launched the title, but the fact remains that it wasn’t, and he now has big shoes to fill. Most of the pages are serviceable, but the fight scenes become very cluttered and difficult to work out. I’m not sure if this is due to his pencils alone or the heavy inking from Rob Campanella, but it does take me (and I’m sure others) out of the story at inopportune moments. It also means that the designs for the monsters midway through the issue aren’t properly established aside from a mess of teeth, mostly. Scott does come into his own a bit more in issue 8, with his portrayal of the possessed Robbie being absolutely chilling, and the intense concentration on Johnny Blaze’s face absolutely hilarious.
