This moment during “The Enemy Within” is probably the most McKay-ish Grant gets during the first season of Traders, where he gets annoyed with Ann’s misinformed comments about the potential drug tests.
Aw, sleepy cutie.
More seriously, it’s interesting how they framed the shot to make Grant look on the smaller side (please note that I’m pretty sure in real life, Hewlett is only small compared to Momoa). I’m not sure how deliberate it is, but the episode generally either does wide shots or very close-up shots of his character with little in between. I’ll have to keep an eye out for that, but I’m unsure when the next spam will be. Next year, perhaps?

Grant is obviously here, but Adam Cunningham is stressing out in the left corner in the first image. It’s interesting; other than here, I think the only time he’s this openly emotional is with his wife later on. I don’t think that has to do with Adam’s stress levels, but rather that he knows Grant won’t judge or otherwise take advantage of him about being emotional.
In the middle image, Adam ‘encourages’ Grant to do the ‘zip and lock’ on his mouth, and Grant has to listen some more in the final image.
I don’t know when I’ll get screencaps from the third disc, but hopefully it’ll be sometime soon.

Currently Watching: I’m watching a handful of shows right now. Power Rangers Lost Galaxy has been fun so far, even if it means I’m almost done with the boxed sets. The second season of Jackie Chan Adventures is chaotic and admittedly meandering but I still love it. I’ve started the third season of BBC Merlin; it’s flawed but it’s pretty to look at. Also: Angel Coulby is iconic as Gwen. Pokémon Sun & Moon has been my comfort show the past several months and I’m looking forward to starting Ultra Adventures soon. I also am watching the first season of Traders (1996) purely because David Hewlett is in it.
Currently Reading: I still need to finish On Ordeal. I just need to get into a headspace that can handle the seriousness of the topics/themes being used. Plus I want to read Do No Harm by the month’s end, but first I’d prefer to re-watch “A Matter of Time” as a refresher.
