Authority in relationships is a concept not a lot of people today are aware of often. How did you discover? What's your origin story

I grew up believing the progressive myth that as time moves forward the world moves closer and closer to perfection. Technology improves, democracy spreads, more people secure rights, etc.

Then I grew up, got married, started my career, and started paying more attention to the world, philosophy, and religion. You’re in a uniquely privileged spot to see the world for what it really is instead of what you want it to be when you become responsible for others instead of others being responsible for you.

I realized the progressive myth is just a myth. I learned that God designed the world as a nested set of hierarchies, and the pattern of hierarchy is woven into every part of human experience, including marriage. This worldview is so much closer to reality than the sheltered idealism most people in the west believe.

As the institutions of marriage and family continue to dissolve, birth rates plummet, countries face demographic collapse, and the entire world spirals towards a catastrophe, more and more people are waking up from the modern fever dream and finding the reality and truth of traditionalism.

Yesterday I took a bit of time out of my somewhat busy week for a prayer break in a small chapel. The City that I study in has multiple Churches and this small chapel in the City Center.

I went to the nearby Church shop for candels and was surprised that they were actually given out for free. I got one and walked the few meters back to the Chapel. After lighting the candel for my grandma, who had sadly passed away a few years ago, I took all the time that I needed for reflexion, prayer and worship, wrote some thoughts, wishes and prayers in the provided guest book before leaving the Chapel again after taking the photos you see here. The photos of the flowers have been taken in the garden of a big Catholic Church that was sadly closed for the day.

All in all it was a very refreshing, calming and helpfull time for me.

If somebody wonders, the Chapel is a Protestant one.
