Experience the rich, smoky flavor of Traeger Pulled Pork with this easy-to-follow recipe. The combination of Traeger Pork & Poultry Rub and a slow smoke on your Traeger grill ensures tender, juicy pulled pork every time.
Ingredients: 8-10 lbs pork shoulder, bone-in. 1/4 cup yellow mustard. 1/4 cup Traeger Pork & Poultry Rub. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar. Wood pellets for smoking apple or hickory. Buns for serving.
Instructions: Preheat Traeger smoker to 225F. Coat pork shoulder with yellow mustard as a binder. In a bowl, mix Traeger Pork & Poultry Rub with brown sugar. Rub mixture onto the pork shoulder, covering all sides. Place the seasoned pork shoulder on the preheated Traeger grill. Smoke for approximately 1.5 hours per pound or until the internal temperature reaches 195F. During the last hour of smoking, spritz pork shoulder with a mixture of apple cider vinegar and water every 30 minutes. Once done, remove the pork shoulder from the smoker and let it rest for 30 minutes. Shred the pulled pork using forks or claws. Serve on buns and enjoy!
