Painting then staining, or staining then painting? Two sides to the board so trying them both. 🗣🔬 - Tonight was all about experimentation. The bench isn’t consistent at all. One day I am bench 365 to 385 and the other day I can barely do 225lb probably. I did an experiment w/ changing to close grip for about a year and a half to improve my lockouts and use dumbbells to develop my chest in size. It worked against me because even though my chest is stronger and I have a better lockout. It’s all about the form for “regular bench. Things such as keeping the elbows tight the whole way, keeping your knees below the bench, your feet in a stable position. These things came naturally on the close grip because I did it so much but on a regular bench even though it’s suppose to be easier the lack of practice really exposed these things. It just didn’t feel natural. That’s a lesson itself. While one thing improves the other thing can suffer. Now it’s time to get it all back. - Thanks to @bradleybarrie114 for the spots today. - I can’t except mediocrity, f*** that. I will figure this out. There’s no excuse as to why I can’t get passed this. Bench is going up one way or another. . . . .
