Unpopular opinion time;

Leon and Sonia aren’t friend. They are barely even acquaintances. All their interactions and remarks about each other feel kinda stiff and kinda “oh yeah that person!” Through out Sword and Shield.

They don’t seem to be the type to seek the other out or really talk to the other other than an occasional “hello.”

That’s just me though.

Professor Oak is keeping an eye on him?? Like, I know they established that the researcher kids hang out with Oak back in the 3-year anniversary event, but I thought that was more like undergrad students borrowing their professor's lab materials than actual personal mentoring.

So Hop is being personally mentored by one of the most well-known and well-respected professors in the whole Pokémon world and he just casually mentions it offhand like it's not a big deal. THAT'S A VERY BIG DEAL

I can totally relate to him being in awe of them for being able to keep up with their own stuff and look out for the kiddos, I'm nearly twice his age and I still struggle to keep up with my own stuff

And then to hear him get excited about getting to be a mentor himself one day... What a sweetheart 💖 You're gonna be a great mentor someday, Hopscotch

Apparently, Sonia’s book can be found in the academy library! Does the game mention how recently the book was written? I’m interested because this could give us a clearer idea of the time between SwSh and SV.
