Oh, shit, there’s only five types left that don’t have Arc Suits! Apparently, it’s Electric, Normal, Grass, Ice, and Ghost. I think the way it works out is, Arc Red and Leaf for the 7th anniversary (Pikachu and Eevee), Arc Adaman and Irida for Eevee Day (Leafeon and Glaceon), Cynthia reclaims Giratina and gets Arc Suit Renegade, and the story wraps up around half-anniversary. Or they stretch it out until the 8th anniversary, but we’re already pushing it as it is.

I was getting nervous that I wouldn’t pull her before the Arc suits dropped! Looks like THAT particular Mankey’s off my back!

Also, I hear she effectively replaces Sygna Kris? They both set rain, but I didn’t see any rebuff or anything when I looked at her kit. I’ll have to check that out later.

Questions about the apparent leaks:

Does “regional evolution” mean the same as Alolan Raichu, Marowak, and Exeggutor? Like, are these simply regional Onix, Houndoom, Hydreigon, and Salazzle? Or are these going to be entirely new species that the base forms only evolve into in this particular region?

So I was just browsing the PokeMas subreddit, and I’m pretty sure at least two August pairs were leaked.

The post in question was memeing on Sordward and Shielbert, saying their event would end up the best-written one in the game. This was after someone posted in another thread (I presumed jokingly) that we were getting Sordward and Shielbert instead of anyone who is currently an NPC. And now the Sordward and Shielbert event post has been deleted, which kind of raises my eyebrow a little bit? Eh. Something to keep an eye on, anyway.

Was it ever mentioned in-game where Urbain/Taunie got their starters? Like, Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile aren't exactly native to Kalos, never mind Lumiose (don't give me Wild Zone 20, that's a game mechanic for player convenience, and either way their starters predate any that would appear there). Did they just... pick them up along the way while searching for their mother?

A potentially stupid thought just occurred to me: If Orihime can reject "any" phenomenon, could she not have rejected Aizen's Complete Hypnosis? To be fair, I only just connected those dots roughly 20 years after the fact, but I would imagine there's a good reason no one in the Gotei 13 saw fit to have Orihime undo Aizen's Shikai for every Captain and Lieutenant. Although now that I'm remembering, that may be why Aizen wanted her kidnapped in the first place. Either way, I mean why didn't the Shinigami figure it out before Aizen did?

Something I’ve been wondering about since Victory Road got added: Why does Lance have a Feraligatr? N’s the only opponent in this mode implied to have used a rental Pokemon, yet aside from him, Lance is the only Trainer to not use a Pokemon he canonically uses in the core series. I wonder if he started training a Feraligatr as a nod to Silver? If so, kudos to Masters for being the only Pokemon game that can make this sort of homage possible.

July datamine is probably coming tomorrow, and so I say: PLEASE give us Summer Leaf! Or Arc Leaf, it doesn’t really matter! It’s been about four months since FRLG dropped on the Switch, that’s plenty of time for Leaf to re-enter the collective fandom consciousness, so now’s the perfect time to give her a new alt! I mean, unless DeNA has a new Sygna Suit Kantrio in the works, but other than that…!

I’m not not sure I’m ever going to need rain AND Electric Terrain at once (then again, I doubt I’ll ever need any Electric pairs again that aren’t some combination of Champion Blue, ‘96 Red, Ash, and Florian), but eh, Cress would probably appreciate the rain if I need Unova for a given fight.

So, I just saw the Z-A popularity poll result, and considering where Urbain and Taunie respectively ended up, I wanna reach out to people who've played the game once for each gender (meaning you went through once with Urbain and once with Taunie) to confirm or correct my take on the matter: Taunie takes things too seriously, and Urbain doesn't take things seriously enough.

She may be the new best strongest Fire Striker in the game, but honestly, half of why I wanted her in the first place was because I literally couldn’t do the Extreme Battle without her. Like, I have Sygna Morty, and I have Arc Silver, but those are tanks above all else! Kind of wishing I had sprung for Variety Ethan when that was running, but I’m pretty sure I prioritized something else at the time. I’ll double check that.

EDIT: Juliana and Florian! No wonder I was never gonna go for Variety Ethan!

I was about to freak out that the current Neo Champion event means that Kris probably isn’t getting a Mix Scout unit, but then I realized, given the established patterns, the boy gets Grass, the rival gets Fire, and the girl gets Water. They’re not gonna give Kris a second Feraligatr, so we Gucci.
