King Halo Speed + Stamina Training Ft. Grass Wonder (Training Abroad + Island Training)
Okay I'm going to post this now as I think I've gotten over it. My bed is like the worst bed in the world to get sheets on so I get very worked up and stressed whenever I have to change my sheets. Well I'd put these white ones in the wash and it was like 10 at night when they were done. Not the time I really want to put sheets on but whatever. So I went through my nightly routine and took Doodle out in the rain, brushed my teeth, then started putting the sheets on my bed. At which point Doodle willingly jumped onto the bed and got his muddy wet gross paws on my newly cleaned, still warm from the dryer sheets. And honestly at this point it was the straw that broke the camel's back. I pulled Doodle off the bed and sat and just cried cuz I was so upset. At which point, Doodle, per training, jumped back up on the bed and laid next/on me. Getting more mud and grossness on my bed but calming me down a bit. So in the end here's a couple morals for you 1. If its muddy put puppy shoes on, its annoying but worth it 2. Take the dog out after you put on the sheets and they're protected by blankets 3. Training can sometimes go awry but that's okay 4. Your dog is just trying to be the dog you want him to be, don't get mad at him for it. 5. Don't wash your sheets that late cuz Murphy's law

Breakthrough on getting Doodle to paw! We're making it more of a fist bump cuz the sign I was using he associates with Kiss. I'm so excited 😄😄😄
I got locked out of my residence hall when I took Cyrus out to pee yesterday, so I ended up taking him to everything I had to do that morning.
Nobody is awake at 7:45 so instead of waiting in the cold for someone to open the door, I went to the dining hall. The staff there were very happy to see Cyrus. As soon as I sat down he tucked under my chair, and then I practiced moving around, grabbing my jacket, and shifting chairs while he stayed lying. Sometimes he likes to jump up and escape.
The whole reason I was locked out was that I lost my id card, so we went searching. I made him sit at every door, and he walked perfectly. We looked in the bathroom, so I practiced making him go in ahead of me and sit nicely out of the way, so we could fit in a regular stall.
We checked the IT help desk. Cyrus helpfully put his paws up instead of staying down. I only taught it to him once, but he always wants to see whats happening at them IT desk and he loves offering behaviors.
We hung out in the library and did some 3d printing and reading. We watched the fish tank. Someone else showed up at the 3d printers and Cyrus thought he was finally going to get attention.
We attended a discussion about something I care about. I nearly cried because I cared about the topic. I’m glad Cyrus was there for me to pet. He was ready to leave by the time I ran out of treats, he needed to poop again and exercise.
Since I was just taking him out to pee when this adventure started, I didn’t have a treat bag or a clicker or his vest, or even a real winter jacket, just a flat collar and leash and some poop bags in my sweater pocket. Nonetheless, he only got distracted by 2 people and he did well for several hours with only intermittent treats whenever I had a plate of bacon and eggs from the cafeteria.
Operation Snuggle Update! Last night I was having a nightmare and he jumped up and curled next to me without me asking and licked me until I woke up and calmed down. I love this dog 😊
